Booked this place because the reviews were very good and the surrounding properties were much more expensive. We were concerned when we first pulled in because the exterior is not elegant or glamorous, looks dated from the exterior, but the room was fantastic for the price. Beds were SUPER comfy, and the room was very quiet, surprisingly because there was a lot of traffic noise once outside. They even included a separate fan and makeup wipes, and it was squeaky clean. It's an excellent alternative to not spending a ton of money on lodging. I would definitely stay here again.

Close to beach. Clean and convenient with old Florida charm, sandwiched between newer boxy high rises. Very nice, clean heated pool. Parking, beach chairs, sand toys for kids and other amenities included. Kitchenette with all needed amenities. All in all a great stay. 10 out of 10.

Within 10 minutes of arriving I went down to get a different room, but there wasn’t anything available until the next day. There were roaches in the kitchenette and bathroom. It was disgusting.

What a great location! Walk to everything and there is a Jolly Trolley stop right there. Hotel has beach chairs, umbrella, and water toys free to use. Friendly staff, clean room, and clean pool, too, if you do not want to go to the beach.

We loved staying here and would definitely recommend it. Our room had tons of space and extra amenities that we weren't expecting. Everything was clean and all the workers were exceptionally nice. Our only complaint being, with the hotel designed like a V, the smoking section was right in the middle of everything so no matter where you went you could smell the cigarette smoke. Especially taking the kids in the pool, the smoking section was right next to it and the elevators. Possible suggestion of moving the smoking section to one side of the building instead of right in the middle. Otherwise we really loved our stay. Close waking to everything, we never had to drive anywhere. Thanks for the great stay.

This is an old style motel. It was cheap relative to surrounding properties but you get what you pay for. Our room was supposedly a condo but it was basically one room. It seemed clean but the bathroom had old dirty grout, the sink stopper had to be opened from underneath. It has a decent small microwave and a tiny fridge. The pool was clean and had nice chairs, etc. but the outside of the property needs a refresh of paint, etc. The elevator made a lot of noise and, according to the paper inside, it hadn't been inspected since 8/24. We were told by an employee that the place hadn't received final fire approval after the hurricane, so he had to walk around every 30 minutes to check for fires! There was a smoke detector in the room though. It was okay for a few days but I would not stay there again.

I loved having the kitchenette in the room. It was easy to walk to a variety of restaurants and bars and beach access was also diagnally located across the street. Everything was stocked and clean. This is a very family friendly establishment so expect children playing in the pool etc. Our only complaint would be that the matress wasn't very comfortable but that wouldnt deter me from staying again. Highly recommend forbthe budget conscious that want to have access to everything in Clearwater!

Great family get away.

We had a great vacation at Pelican Pointe. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job. We really enjoyed the pool and close beach access. There are several great restaurants and shopping all in close walking distance.

Very convenient location! A short walk to the beach and restaurants. There was some construction in the parking lot but we didn’t hear any noise from our room so it was no bother. We loved that beach chairs and towels were provided in our room. The outlets did have extension cords which seemed a little sketchy but wasn’t a big deal. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Overall, we had a decent time at the location. It was walking distance to local shops and restaurants. The beach was mere feet away. The only real concern was the work being done in the facility. It was loud the work being done left dust. We would recommend for those seeking a budget friendly option.

Very clean, but for the price (although discount) the room had no balcony and the only window had no curtains so you are awakened by sunrise. Everything else was good...very clean, great staff, and quiet for the renovations they were undergoing while we were there.
