Best hotel option in the Norwalk area

We stayed here about 18 months ago prior to renovation. We were back and really enjoyed the new look and accommodations. The rooms were well appointed, very clean and comfortable. The quality of the bedding and shower were characteristic of a premium hotel. Would recommend for those who visit the Norwalk area. We ate dinner in the restaurant which also was very good. The only negative is the train but the room is well insulated so you can only hear a rumble in the distance.

The last time I stayed here, it was known as a different name. The renovations have really made a difference. It’s a beautiful place to stay that’s very convenient to the Merritt Parkway. The mattress was firm, the water pressure was perfect in the shower, and staff were friendly during our stay. The only disappointment was that the coffee machine was broken the next morning and there were no alternatives offered that were gratis like the coffee would have been. I would have made tea in my room, but the bottled water was $3/bottle, which seemed excessive under the circumstances. Regardless, I will return. And hopefully the weather will be better next time so I can hang out on the rooftop.

I spent 5 cozy nights at this property. The local owners thought of so many little touches that made my stay comfortable and uplifting (there for my mother's life celebration). From the natural, modern decor and design touches (stunning lobby artwork that brought the CT woods indoors) to the toiletries, the owners provided a luxury experience at a reasonable price. There were lavish bathrobes, multiple choices of fresh coffees from around the world as well as exquisite teas in silk tea bags (yum!), and fresh fruit in a big bowl -- all available 24/7. Special room touches included dried flowers in vases, excellent, architecturally fitting tea kettle, (I'm going to try to find one like it for my home), and even polished river stones set out in a zen design on the desk adding to my unique hotel stay by the river. The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms spotless. In contrast I spent a night at a marriott hotel in Newark where not a special touch could be found at $100 more per night than the Watershed. Highly recommended.
