Mökissä on avoin pohjaratkaisu ja se on täydellinen pariskunnan romanttiseen viikonloppuun, ystäväryhmään tai perhejuhliin! 58 hehtaarin tontti tarjoaa sinulle runsaasti tilaa irrottaa pistoke ja nauttia hyttiversiosta "glamping".

Näkemyksemme:

Pysäytä Food Lion- tai Woodbine Farm Market -markkinoilla päivittäistavaroita varten ja kokki mukavia illallisia täysin varustetussa keittiössä. Tarjoamme mausteita, joten sinun ei tarvitse. Nauti illallinen katetulla esiportaalla. Tee kotitekoisia pastaa pastakeittimen kanssa. Tai rentoudu lasillisella viiniä (ilmainen pullo tarjotaan vähintään 7 yön varauksille!) ulkona paviljongissa.

Seuraavana aamuna voit rentoutua ranskalaisen presskahvin tai expresson avulla (tarjoamme!) edessä kuistilla auringon noustessa ja katsella hirvieläinten laiduntamista terveen unen jälkeen mukavissa ja ylellisissä vuoteissa. Et koskaan saa parempaa yöunet. Tai kävele kiinteistöä auringon tullessa - se on todella upea.

Laita illallinen crockpotiin ja viettää päivä Cedar Creek Winery -viinitilassa tai nauttia läheisestä vaelluksesta (voit heittää kallion GWNF: lle). Vance's Cove on lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä. Paddy Gap (varustettu taimenvirta) kulkee kiinteistön läpi - tuo kalat kotiin illalliselle grillillä. Ei jo kaukana jousiammuntaleiri.

Illallisen jälkeen makaa illalla täysin lepotuolissa, jotta katsot elokuvia tai pelata pelejä korttipöydällä. Kaapeli-TV mahdollistaa pääsyn täyteen kanavavalikoimaan ja pysyäkseen mukana maailmassa - vaikka et halua. Biljardipöytä / pingispöytä tarjoaa tunnin hauskaa kilpailijoille. Tai tyydy hyvää lukemaa varastossa olevasta kirjalaukustamme.

Kävele polkuja upea näköala Half Moon; ensimmäinen ohut aamulla sumua pudotettaessa pelloilta (kahvi kädessä) on eniten mahtava.

Luonto ja villieläimet ovat ympäri. Kuuntele whippoorwill-puhelut yöllä tai katsele kirkkaasti valaistuja tähtiä. Kotkat, haukot ja sinirinnat muutamia mainitakseni. Kalastajat (nisäkäs nisäkäs) ja kalkkunat lisäävät luontoa villieläimistä, joita ei ole nähty kaupungissa!

All trash must be removed from property no later than the time of departure, please include used grill foil and food in the refrigerator.
No RVs allowed on the property; no reservations from within a 50 mile radius. Please return our home to us in the same condition as provided to you.
NO food outside - wildlife is around! Due to proximity to the National Forest, as well as high winds, no fires please outside of the grill.

Very nice trip with my boyfriend to this property first week of May 2026. Was hoping it was going to be a bit warmer, but still such a beautiful trip. Plenty of wildlife to explore on and near the property with many opportunities for bird watching and foraging. Paddy Run is just a short walk down and a very cool spot to fish when the water is higher. You will need your VA fishing liscenses and trout stamp :) While you definately feel like you are away from everything (so quiet and peaceful) - Woodbine market is right down the road, as well as the small city of Strasburg just 25 minutes away. Also worth noting that the pavillion with the corn hole was used a number of times, and the pool table/ping pong table was also a lot of fun to play around with while we were winding down in the evenings. While we didn't use the bunk room, it was a very cool set up with a lot of space! We will definately be back and may even bring the kids!

This was such a fun cabin to stay in. such a beautiful house on a beautiful piece of land perfect for dogs so much running room. there is a trail straight from the house into the national forest it was so much fun waking up and going hiking. the river next to the hike was absolutely gorgeous. the whip poor will birds calling out at night were so peaceful. the town 28 min away is just the cutest. there is a farmers market on the way to the house we stopped at. such an amazing vibe. we loved all the games and the views were just spectacular. 10/10 stay will definitely be staying with you guys again!!

Another great stay in Star Tannery. Small upgrades to WiFi and the grill enhanced the experience. We got a special delivery of cinnamon rolls that were a hit with the whole family. This is our yearly destination when we want to get away and go to the mountains.

Amazing. Lots of room to take puppy for exploring and near fun hike. Scenic property and drive. Gotta try Blue Winged Frog Restaurant. Incredible!!! VVery clean and accommodating to dog people. Comfy and perfect for the pressure of the day to day to seep off.

We recently had a really enjoyable family Thanksgiving at this home and stayed here for a few days. It was just the getaway we needed and was a very peaceful visit. It was very comfortable inside with a ton of character, and a nice “grandparents cabin” feel to it, but with some modern upgrades. The property was great for our son and dog to freely run around in, and we took a nice walk along the nearby wooded trail that follows a nearby creek that can take you right into the national forest.My son played pool and ping pong non-stop so that was a big hit for him. The cable TV worked great and we had no issues with the WiFi. Two small things to be mindful of: 1) I did not have cellphone service with AT&T when I got about 5 miles from the house (which I welcomed) and 2) when it’s windy the tin roof can make it sound like there is a storm occurring in the distance outside (but we had no problem sleeping through it as we slept very well).Thanks again for having us. We are very happy with our visit!

This place is magical, and just what the doctor ordered. Don’t hesitate if you are deciding on coming here, I can’t recommend it enough. It has everything you need, including plenty of space to spread out, both inside and out. And also a great place to take dogs - ours loved it! It’s definitely one of the top places I’ve booked. The house was cute and quiet. We enjoyed hanging out on the porch to see the beautiful fall view and it was a great base from which we went to see the Skyline and Luray Caverns. The pool table was a fun bonus! There is a bedroom with a queen bed on the top level and a “bunkroom” on the lower level with: a queen bed attached to a bunk bed containing three twin beds, and two big sofas (one of which is a pullout queen bed). We loved being able to gather as a family and the hosts were very accommodating.

We're already thinking about our next return! If you're looking for seclusion and direct hiking access, this is it.Pros:- ample throw blankets made the space super cozy- plentiful comfortable seating - lots of cookware, but be prepared to bring your own sharp knives - on-site entertainment w/ ping pong, billiards, frisbee golf- mostly freshly mowed, open yard space - perfect place to bring your pup (bowls and stand included, gate on deck)Cons:- ping pong balls were unusable, so we had to buy our own - some of the puzzles were very old and missing pieces- bunk beds were more comfortable than the actual bed- streaming services unavailable on older TVs Things to note:- 1br and an open sleeping space in the basement, not 2 br - I wouldn't count on fishing 100% of the year, as the water levels were much too low - Prepare to be unplugged, as there was little to no cell service and wifi was on the slower end - Would be nice to have a porch/entryway light

This was our second stay at this property. It was very clean and well stocked. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Our children and dogs love exploring the fields, trails and fishing. Even though it rained half of our trip we still had plenty to do. Between playing pool, sitting on the covered porch or just curling up watching a good movie, it was great!!! Hope to return again!

Overall we enjoyed our stay. A lot of bugs inside the property though so that made us a bit uncomfortable. Some are to be expected but for us it was a bit much. Would have appreciated extra paper towels, trash bags and toilet paper available in the house. There was 1 additional role in the house and no additional trash bags. I knew we had to remove our trash from the property but wasn’t aware we also needed to bring trash bags. Thankfully we had a few grocery bags with us from when we arrived. Just minor inconveniences.

My husband and I rented this gem for 3 nights to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We were thrilled with the remote location! It was exactly what we were looking for. Our 4 legged pooch enjoyed his stay as well. The owner even had a neighbor deliver some goodies from a local bakery to celebrate our special anniversary. We will definitely be back!
