Checked in 1/17/26 evening, La Quinta Stillwater OK room 217. Live roach in ice bucket. Evening front desk staff moved us to room 215. Pool closed, and I picked this hotel on Expedia because it announced an indoor pool as amenity. Unsatisfactory experience this time

Beds were comfortable, pillows amazing, breakfast was good. Wifi wasnt secure so couldnt connect to it. Fire alarm went off multiple times my last night there so i got no sleep. They didnt offer discounts or anything for keeping us up from 2am to 5am bevause of a leaky water pipe. Overall it was a nice stay. If the internet issue was fixed I'd recommend going back but thats a big issue for me.

All the furniture, carpet and bathroom are old and run down. The staff were very polite and helpful. HVAC sounded like it was on its last legs. I used to like staying at La Quinta as it was one of the best places to stay. But the last two I’ve stayed at were run down significantly. I’ll find somewhere else to stay from now on. Pitiful.

The elevator had some issues and didn't always work, which is a problem because my mom uses a walker and can't do stairs. The fire alarm went off; it was related to issues with the water system, not an actual fire; however, this was not well communicated to customers. We needed to do an emergency load of laundry, but the front desk was out of detergent. We acquired detergent externally, then when we asked the front desk to exchange bills for quarters so we could dry our laundry, we were informed that they were out of quarters. Eventually, the desk attendant checked the till for the gift shop and was able to exchange us bills for the 8 quarters we needed. Also, they kept trying to clean our room at 9:00 a.m., which was not a convenient time because we were still in there. We don't usually have issues with this hotel; we've stayed here many times before, but on this visit, there seemed to be something every day.
