The room was clean and spacious. I loved the design of separating the toilet, shower, and vanity counter. However, during the three days of my stay, all the bath towels had a strong smell of bleach, even after they were replaced with fresh ones. I hope the hotel can improve its laundering process in this area.

Staff are helpful and friendly. The front desk and lobby staff are always welcoming and assisting. Restaurant staff always make sure your table is clean and can enjoy your breakfast. Though there are not many choices for the buffet breakfast but to me is good enough, too much will cause waste. Housekeeping is in every detail, everyday tie up the hair dryer cord and put back in the right place. Really appreciate their heart to their work.

We had an enjoyable stay at Westgate. Hotel was very nice and right by a night market and close to train station. Room was clean. Staff was awesome! Breakfast was decent and had various options. Overall, had a good positive experience at Westgate and would recommend.

Really impressed with this hotel. We stayed here 8 years ago and they have thoroughly overhauled the whole hotel. The room we stayed in is large, well appointed and extremely up to date. Service is exceptional and accommodating. Location is in Shimen area and very central. A couple of blocks from Shimen Ding and one block from the MTR station. I would for sure stay here again if I visit Taipei in the future.

Rooms were very spacious and clean. The staff are very nice and courteous, they assisted with any questions we had. They open the door as you enter and exit, the free two water bottles and canned sodas are replenished daily into the small fridge. The sheets/towels are changed everyday if you place the placard. The train station is like 40 steps away or 1 minute, perfect to travel to other places or events. The night market is jammed with different types of shops/food. Whenever I come back to Taiwan, this is my go to hotel.
