My family (son, daughter in law and two infants) had to book an emergency trip and drive three hours for the night and continue the next morning to their destination. They got there at 10pm to check in and were told there was no rooms avaliable. EVEN THO their name was in the reservation list and paid. He called me and I told the lady of their being 2 babies with them and one needing surgery at Shands. She then helped them find a room for the night. For whatever reason they had overbooked.
Not sure who was really responsible for this... the hotel or Expedia.
But I can honestly say after 15 years of using Expedia I have bever had a problem. Soooo??
Had it not been for her willingness to help my kids, and give them (an out of order) room, they would have been in the car for the night. Either sleeping in it or driving thru the night. As there were no other hotels for 200 mile radius of Gainsville due to multiple events going on at UF.
That being said, had it not been for her this rating would have been a zero!!
