Avoid and don’t book

Hotel very outdated, dirty and dingy, rusty light fixtures and water faucets. Breakfast very rushed and front desk very unfriendly. Charged extra fees on card after stay. Avoid and don’t book here. Pictures are very deceiving.

This hotel has a convenient location near Raymond James Stadium and International Plaza Mall, which was a major plus. However, the property has clearly seen better days. The lobby was poorly decorated and lacked any sense of warmth or style. There were no real amenities to speak of, and the breakfast area felt more like a generic conference room than a welcoming dining space. The elevators made a loud, unsettling noise every time they moved—I honestly thought I might get stuck. Even worse, the air conditioning units were outdated and leaking water into the hallway, which continued throughout our stay and was never addressed by staff. The bed and pillows were decent, but the bathtub was unusually high and the shower head was positioned uncomfortably low. Overall, while the location was convenient, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again unless absolutely necessary.

Very old hotel but it was clean and did the job. We stayed for the weekend for a concert at Raymond James. Room was clean but furniture needs a major update. Hotel was quiet and close to everything we needed.

Unprepared rooms

Check in is at 3pm. I called the day before to see if we were able to check in about 30 mins early due to an event we were attending and was told that it shouldn't be an issue. I arrive at 2:50pm, the desk called to housekeeping and the room was not even ready. I was then told I had to come back in 10 minutes at 3pm. I did so, and was told the room was still not ready but would be in about 5 minutes. When we returned to our room after the even, I pulled to sheets back to get into the bed, and it looked like the bed was just made without changing the sheets. There was dirt on the sheets. I had to take the bedding off and flip the sheets inside out to the clean side. Unexceptable!!

Giant dead cockroach in the middle of the floor. Blood on bed skirts. Lamps and fixtures literally rusting. Staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was sub par. No toothbrush at front desk. Night club next door had some really shady people around late at night. Bum walked right up to us begging at front entrance. Elevator seemed to always take way too long. Shuttle stopped running right before we needed it to get from the airport. Upon booking, i called the desk and the receptionist said it ran all night. upon landing the front desk told me i had to find my own way. Walking distance to mall was nice. This review may sound really negative, but we appreciated the stay and hope this helps.
