The room was very small. The whole resort needed updating. There is no accommodations for seniors on the first floor. They said they could guarantee the room size, but they could not guarantee first floor access to those with disabilities. Other than the manager who is all business and not very sympathetic to anything, the staff that I met was very nice. To me it wasn’t worth the price we paid for it.

The property is a bit run-down, and it's right on the hwy so you have some road noise. But it was clean and in a great location for the things we wanted to do.

Rooms are ok hot water was hard to come by even after maintenance came and looked at it. It was great for the price. The employees were nice plus it’s right on the canal we saw manatees and dolphins swimming in the canal. Canoeing is just a couple doors down and a great time.

Staff was courteous, LOVED the creek access. The bed was a little uncomfortable as the blankets didn’t quite fit appropriately so they were constantly bunching up. There also did not appear to be any actual TV viewing aside from 1 channel which wasn’t really an issue for us because we were never really in the room. Aside from that it was clean, location was great and within walking distance to food and entertainment, and staff was very pleasant!

Pictures of rooms are VERY misleading! There is no front desk person 24 hrs. We were not told not to use our deadbolt, so we were locked out for about 45 minutes. No individual canal space, just shared. Would have been nice to be told there was road construction going on RIGHT there.

Beautiful grounds and a clean and inviting room. The staff were pleasant and pools are very nice. The only thing I didn't like were the beds. They are way too firm and we woke hurting terribly. Overall it was atill a nice stay.

This hotel is old but we'll maintained. The room was clean and beds were comfortable and passed my rigorous bedbug check. The staff was friendly and we were even able to check in early. Our room was facing the canal on the first floor and it was gorgeous. We saw a momma manatee and her baby right in front of our room! Boats go by ..kayaks...well worth the price.

We appreciated the location on the canal and having a private balcony. The property is surrounded by road construction which made access challenging. The room had several issues. The pillows were awful... very hard and need to be replaced. There was no shower curtain (had to have housekeeping replace), a bathroom floor tile was broken and a bedside lamp wasn't working. The office staff was pleasant and courteous as were the housekeeping folks, when needed. It's an older property with some maintenance needs, but a nice location on the canal.

The lodge was cute and great location. We stayed one night and enjoyed the visit. We had a walkout patio to the boat dock and my boyfriend saw 2 manatee’s in the swimming by before we left in the morning ☺️

The pictures in the rating were deceiving for this stay. The hotel has a rating of 8.4 but I would say more like 6.1. Under the bed was completely filthy, the shower was not clean and the blinds didn’t work. The TV remote was broken and falling apart, and there was construction along the seawall… That may have been unavoidable, but it was definitely not visually appealing.
