Budget friendly alternative to hotels near FSU

This motel is deplorable!

This motel is deplorable and disgusting. I was in the building for only 10 mins and gave back the key to the room and left to find a hotel that did not smell of mold and nicotine with a disgusting bathroom. A hotel where I felt safe. A hotel where the guest was not exchanging cash for their stay. I was shocked that they were given a 4 out of 5 stars. That is very misleading!!!

Accessibility for people in wheelchairs is a fail. Bathroom is too narrow. Only parking area with a ramp is by the office even though I was given a room quite aways from there.

The refrigerator was filthy and food left inside.....UNCLEAN! The ice machine FILTHY.... I wouldn't let a pet use the ice from the machine nevertheless a human being!!!! We didn't take a shower.....the tub looked horrible! If it wasn't for a family member graduating from a nearby college in Florida we would have went back home!!!! I have pictures and reported it to the front desk!!!! No one has even responded 😡

Don’t bring your service animal

Not service pet friendly. Followed and forced to pay a fee for a registered service pet at the end of our stay. Which is against the law according to ADA regulation but this establishment does not care.

The room and the entire property was actually much cleaner than many higher priced places I have stayed. The only negatives would be the tv was extremely limited in channels and there was no guide. The area struggles for good cell reception and the motels WiFi wasn’t much help. Last but not least and no fault of Best Western but should I make the trip again I would likely look at staying in another city or town. Cairo is very limited for dining other than fast food and the only night life is the 6-7 channels on your tv. The entire city had a feel of time stopping somewhere between 1975 & 1985

The staff was not friendly. Asked for towels and was told that I had to wait until the next morning. Also the room smelled horrible. Had to go to Walmart to get odor killing spray. Killed at least a dozen roaches in the room. Would not recommend staying here.
