I'm talking to my budget motel travelers right now. This is the definition of a budget motel, so if you're staying there for those specific reasons this is an alright spot!! I needed a quick 6 hours sleep on the way into Sequoia which this is perfect for. But other than that, yeah it's not exactly fancy or nice. There are other spots around for about double the cost of you like nicer amenities. This is as basic as it gets, but it's fine for what you're paying.....my fellow budget travelers will know what I'm talking about

So bad

we went to office to check in but no one in there. so we wait for 20 min. And I went next door market to ask where is the person. Market person told me to ge Western lodge so we 10 min drive to there and went to back River inn. We were so tired and upset. but Inn officer neve say Sorry

I liked that this property was safe, quiet and reasonably priced. It was also nearest the park as far as motels went. I liked that there was a little market next door for coffee and good breakfast each morning. The heater was loud and hard to get dialed in, but other than that, it worked fine.

This property is terrible and I recommend Expedia to take it out from there list. It was terribly dirty, carpet not even vacuumed, dishwasher had mould which was not cleaned in ages. Bed was mounted on brick which could have hurt kids. It is horribly maintained with old food left in pantry, teared curtains. They threw (or steal???) my bag of food which was surely worth of $90-$100.. Property management was not even aware of my bookings. They were under impression that it was booked for only one night which I had to contest. Very very poor experience and not a good year end or start of new year. Hope Expedia takes strong note of this.

We were waiting 30 minutes to check in. When we receive our key and went to the room it turned out that room was not cleaned (sheets were not changed, dirty carpet, wet towel in the bathroom). So we went back to complain and try to change room. The receptionist informed us that they are full booked and that she can give us clean sheets and we can change them. I instead that she need to do that. We were on property at 5:20 but with long checking in and changing sheets we could use room before 7pm There were 4 outlets in the room but only one of them where working. TV and one of laps were not working. Carpet and bathroom where very dirty.. We stay there only because even around was booked and we have no choice.
