I recently booked a four-day stay through Expedia.com at the Sonesta Select in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, and encountered several concerning issues. The door lock was not functioning, and basic services such as room cleaning were only available after ten days of occupancy. Additionally, towels and toilet paper had to be requested at the front desk, and guests were expected to take out their own trash and leave it in the hallway. These conditions fell far below reasonable expectations for hotel accommodations. I strongly recommend that Expedia more thoroughly vet the properties it promotes to ensure a satisfactory guest experience.

Main problem is they had No Breakfast any of the days. Also didn’t even have coffee available in the lobby on one of the days. The mini-fridge could not regulate the temp. Everything you put in it would freeze. Fortunately nothing exploded.

Great hotel. Clean, quiet, convenient for getting to our concert venue. However, the check-in process on the day we arrived was awful. When we arrived at 4:20 there were 4 people ahead of us and only 2 staff checking in guests. By the time it was our turn there were 7 people wising behind us in the lobby and outside to check in. Two guests almost got into a fight over the wait. And the manager disappeared.

I liked that it was clean. I needed extra blankets and the person at the check in desk went out of her way to get these for me. The price was very good for 2 nights (around $260 for a king size bed, Sept. 8-10 stay).
