A small hotel convenient for central Toronto. It has a nice atmosphere, pleasant staff and overall a good feel. I would stay there again.

Cute, quaint Inn. Construction happening behind which made it a little loud at times. Lift driver warned that areas was highly populated with homeless and addicts making it unsafe. We did not encounter this but did provide worry for us and changed travel plans leaving because of it.

Overall a good stay; hard to beat the price in Toronto. At night the area can feel a bit unsafe if walking alone, but the hotel itself is well lit which is nice. Suggest ubering if late at night. Daytime, no problem.

The area seemed okay, there was only parking on the property for 3-4 vehicles and they charge an extra 25$. The carpets on the stairs and hallway are dingy. Our room was small like a bedroom and the attached bathroom was also small and was a little dirty. Everything in the room felt kindve damp wondering if its because the building is old and the Ac unit. We didn't pull the bedding back but the top layer had hairs on it. My friend and I didn't end up staying the night after our concert we decided to leave around midnight. So we basically paid to get ready and change at the hotel. The staff seemed friendly enough

Bit overpriced for the room I got, felt like a reconditioned dorm. Grout needs cleaning in the shower. You can hear out in the hall very clearly. Not a bad area, good access to downtown if you like to walk.

Service was great. Location just okay. But the basement rooms let in a lot of noise, including from staff working in the basement. Additionally, a lot of the furniture is old and creaks, including the bed and toilet.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, had air con, fridge, and en-suite. The room was very clean, but had quite a strong cleaning product smell until it dissipated. Would recommend for location and friendliness of staff

Stayed here for proximity to a concert venue. The room was small but efficient, clean, and decorated with a simple modern look that was recently updated. In the morning there is coffee and tea in the front lounge. The front desk gentleman were friendly. The neighborhood is near a university, and walking distance to cafes and casual eateries. The street is home to students and regular working people, and there is a transitional housing apartment building that others have mentioned with negativity. However, these residents didn't impact our visit. We've been to enough cities to know that a mix of people can live and exist on a single block in basic peace. Public transport is nearby-a street car stop at the end of the block, and the underground station is about a 15 minute walk away, near Young-Dundas Square/Sankofa Square. Would stay again for a quick trip where a spacious room isn't necessarily a priority.

The staff at the Inn were super friendly - likely the nicest hotel staff I've ever encountered (Shout out to Ash at reception!) The room was small, but cute and clean. The walls however were paper thin and you could hear everyone going and going at any and all hours of the night. There was construction happening outside our window as well (not the hotels fault) which started around 7am each day - the walls being so thin you could hear conversations from the construction workers. The bed wasn't very comfortable, and it was squeaky anytime anyone moved - but we made it work. The location was fairly good if you don't mind a small jaunt to the subway station, about 15 minutes to either College or Dundas (which is next to the Eaton Centre) Overall, we did have a good stay, the complimentary tea/coffee in the morning was nice. And, the staff were able to store our luggage for the day when we checked out so we didn't have to carry it around with us before we head to the airport. Based on the tin walls and the bed, we would probably look for other accommodations first next time, but the Pembroke Inn wouldn't be a hard no if it came down to it.
