A Diamond in the Rough

Torry Utah, is really a spot out in 'nowhere', but the hotel was absolutely wonderful, nice views, nice people and the room was perfect, all was good. Having a steakhouse connected to the hotel was a plus, we ate there several times, it was good.

Unique property very close to Capitol ridge . The steak house restaurant is located right in the facility and the lamb ribs were excellent! Our room had a balcony to see the sunrise and a wirlpool tub for two right in the room. You can stargaze right off the property as Torrey is the official darkest sky city!

Very nice hotel. Rooms were extremely clean and updated. Can hear cars from the bottom floor but it wasn’t terribly loud. Updated rooms. Easy to get to restaurants. Hot tub and pool was nice but the hot tub was a little dirty, had some bugs floating in it. Otherwise great place and I would stay here again!

The room was clean upon arrival. check in was slow—female staff member kept nodding off during check in. The next day we had a mouse running around our room. Front desk clerk came a put a towel in front of locked closet in room to try and detain it.

Quite good and a bit different.

The apartment rooms are very spacious and well laid out with bench, table and chairs and comfortable bed. Fridge was adequate and the ice machine nearby. The pool was great to have and the hot tub very hot. The setting was great for access to Capitol Reef. We ate in the restaurant one evening and it was a bit chaotic but the food fine. Nothing special though. Breakfast was the usual stuff eaten with plastic knives and forks off paper plates. A pleasant stay and probably better than some of the awful places we saw in Torrey.

The checkin stuff was very annoyed because we reached there around 10pm and we have not informed that we will be late. I was like seriously, 10pm is considered late!! Then they gave us a room where the heaters were not working and it was freezing. Luckily we had enough clothes to put on and somehow survived the night. The location and breakfast was really good. It would have been perfect if it was not that cold or heater was in good shape.

The Cowboy theme fit well with the location. The steakhouse was convenient and had excellent food options. The room was clean and comfortable. It was close to Capital Reef and the lobby was decorated with fabulous photos of the park. The souvenir shop was a pleasant bonus.
