Kaunis rantarantajärvitalo yli 100 jalkaa hiekkafronttia yksityisellä laiturilla ja veneenostimella Elkin järven rannalla. 3200 neliöjalkaa järvitalossamme on runsaasti tilaa koko perheelle. Lake-talomme on 6 makuuhuonetta ja kaksi kylpyhuonetta. Keittiössä on graniittitasot, ja se on täysin varustettu kaikella, mitä tarvitset. Suuri ruokailutila, jossa kaksi pöytää.
Elk Lake on yksi Michiganin kauneimmista järvistä, joka muistuttaa minua Karibian rannalta turkoosi vesillä. Tuo oma vene tai vesilelu tai vuokrata veneesi läheltä. Elk-järvi on täydellinen uinti, hiihto, wakeboarding, letkut ja kalastus. Käy veneretkellä järviketjun läpi, siirry Torch-joelle ylöspäin maailmankuuluun Torch-järveen ja ui suositulla hiekkapalalla. Olemme alle 30 mailin päässä Traverse Citystä, jossa on paljon hauskoja aktiviteetteja siellä kaikkina vuodenaikoina, syksyn värimatkoista ja viinitiloista, talvella hiihtämisestä ja uskomattomista ravintoloista ja viihdyttämisistä.

Kesäisin pääviikko on 7 yötä lauantaista lauantaihin. Lyhyemmät 3 yön minimisäännökset ovat käytettävissä ruuhka-ajan ulkopuolella.
Tämä loma-asunto sijaitsee vain lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä kohteesta Elk Lake. Majoituspaikka tarjoaa asiakkaille esimerkiksi concierge-palvelut ja pyykinpesutilat. Loma-asunnossa tarjoaa keittiön ja 2 kylpyhuonetta.

We had a wonderful time with our children and grandchildren. The weather wasn't great but the home is large enough to spread out and enjoy. The lakefront is beautiful. We did get to spend some time outside (rained on an off) and it was nice. A little sandy beach area for the little ones to enjoy, which they did. A much appreciated large grass area. We setup soccer nets, badminton-volleyball net, plenty of room outside to enjoy! The location is great, close to downtown Elk Rapids and restaurants.

Perfect place for a large group. We went for family get together and everyone had fun. Lots of beach toys available. There a 3 kayaks and a row boat our family used all. The lake is perfect is clear and shallow enough for little ones. House stocked well. Host very responsive.

We had a great stay on Elk Lake. We had 10 adults and 3 children and there was plenty of room for all of us. The house was very clean when we checked in. It had everything we needed for our stay. A well equipped kitchen, 2 refrigerators, beach towels, kayaks, beach chairs and our dog loved the huge backyard which is very private. The swim area is awesome for young kids. Its hard sand and shallow for probably 20-30 yards from the shore. It was great!!!.

Lake Retreat for the Family

We use VRBO rentals about 4 times a year and this has been one of the best! The lake and beach were breath taking. The picture doesn't do it justice. There was plenty of room for 12 of us from 10 months old to 85 years old. We enjoyed our afternoon in Elk Rapids. There's a great playground on the beach with plenty of shade and bathrooms near by. The house had a wonderful stock of dishes, pots & pans and staples. I've never stayed at a rental with so many basics! If you have the opportunity to stay here, you won't be disappointed!

This house was perfect for my family of 3 children their spouses and 8 grandchildren. We all had a fantastic time. There was plenty of room for all of us. The house is well maintained, kitchen well stocked with dishes and utensils, beautifully decorated and inviting on the main floor. The beach area is sandy and the water is pristine. The host, Nicole, is very responsive to all and any needs. We are looking forward to and definitely be returning.

Elk Lake never disappoints!

We had a wonderful week at this home! The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. The host is wonderful and attentive. Our coffee pot died and they got us a new one within hours. The house is older with a Michigan basement but is well decorated and fit our large family very well! The yard is huge and great for yard games. They had kayaks, a paddle board and huge floating mat which the kids loved! The lake is incredible!! We have a great week!!

Family Vacation!

We will definitely be back! Let's get any issues out of the way because the trip itself was perfect. Our trip took place 6/8-6/15 and apparently the gnats are in full force this time of year. We had no idea so we had exterior lights on and also installed some red/white/blue mini lights around the deck railing..man was that a mistake. The deck and back of the house was covered in gnats. The bushes along the front road were also covered in gnats. Lesson learned and we left the lights off moving forward and didn't have any issues. The host also mentioned that it could have been caused by the rain they recently received. Other than that we had a minor issue with the AC going out that was quickly resolved and the fridge in the basement didn't work but sounded like it was going to be replaced right away. Now the good stuff! The host was very easy to communicate with and responsive to all issues and questions. The house overall was great for our family. Clean and nicely decorated. The backyard was great other than the goose poop. Not sure how you get around that. The little beach was perfect for the little kiddos. The dock worked great for securing our boat. The water was about as clear as I have ever seen. It was so awesome to travel from Elk lake to Skegemog to the Torch River (which was our favorite part) to the sandbar on Torch lake. Torch River Shack was perfect for fueling up. Torch Sandbar is a must. Overall great experience and would highly recommend this lake and house!

Great lake house for family vacation

Great lake house for a family retreat. The house was well stocked, especially the kitchen. Plenty of water toys for the whole family to enjoy out on/by the lake. Nicole was a great host, very responsive and accommodating. Would definitely book again!

Amazing Elk Lake Gem

We had an amazing Labor Day weekend stay at Nicole’s place. The house was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed to complement our trip. She recommended a boat rental that worked out perfectly for us and everyone enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle board on-site. Huge yard and plenty of space, couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Great house on a beautiful lake!!

We had a wonderful time at this Elk Lake property! The house had plenty of room for 10 adults and 6 kids to enjoy time together. The kitchen was well stocked and it was great having two fridges to use, as well as washer and dryer! House was clean and comfy, but could use some updates here and there. The dock was convenient to have for the pontoon, however it could have used a good cleaning before our arrival. Having the extra canoe, paddleboard, kayaks and toys for the kids was awesome! Nicole was very responsive to any questions or problems we had. The lake was beautiful and we were able to find some sandbars which was perfect for swimming! Elk Rapids has a great downtown area that is a short drive from the house. We will definitely consider this property for future vacations!

Family Vacation 2023

House was perfect for our family, young and old! Nicole was great about reaching out and checking in periodically during our stay. Less than a 2 hour drive to Mackinaw City to catch the ferry to Mackinac Island, perfect day trip. Or just hangout at the house and enjoy the views, the water and fire pit! Main floor living area was perfect place to relax with the family. Our family absolutely loved our Michigan vacation on Elk Lake!

Excellent!!!!

We had a fabulous stay! The house was perfect for our family of 13. Amazing yard, sandy beach for the kids, and so well stocked!!!! Other reviews mentioned the downstairs being outdated. It may have been a bit outdated but still felt very clean and extremely comfortable. We had zero complaints. Beds were comfy, kitchen was well stocked, air conditioning worked great. We loved the large living room for tv/movies in the evening with the fam. Also loved the downstairs extra indoor porch area. Was perfect for reading, exercising, practicing music…just a nice space if you needed a little alone time. Nicole was so responsive and kind in all of her communication. We would absolutely stay here again!

Awesome, family-friendly beach escape!

5 stars all around! The house was clean, charming, and in an awesome location on Elk lake. There are more than enough beds throughout…it accommodated 5 children under the age of 4 very well. Our family loved grilling dinner each night and eating around the large dining tables together. We took short drives to Traverse City, Torch Lake, strawberry picking, golfing, and more to fill the day with activities. The beach on the property is perfect for kids as it’s shallow. There’s a lot of sand for the kids to play with and floaties/noodles in the shed. Next to the beach is a place for bonfires which we did nightly. Looking forward to booking again 😎☀️

Wonderful Week at Elk Lake!

We enjoyed the cleanliness and openness of the house! Cupboards were stocked with anything we could have wanted! The upstairs bathroom even had hair ties and cotton pads! The fluffy blankets in the living room were amazing to cuddle up with on the chilly nights we had. The kids loved the easy access to the water and all of us enjoyed the kayaks and fire pit. The dock was great for our friend's boat and for the kids to jump into the water from! Great stay!!

Great week at Elk Lake!

Nicole was very helpful and reachable if necessary. Unit was not very clean when we arrived which was mentioned in another review. First floor is in good shape. Kitchen was great and we used the gas grill daily. Basement where lots of the beds are could use an update. We had a great week on the lake, playing in the yard and the beach, and hanging out in Elk Rapids!

Elk Lake is Awesome

The owner was very communicative and offered to help if needed. Elk Lake is one of the best northern Michigan lakes we’ve stayed at, and the connection to Torch Lake made it even better. The cleaners didn’t do as great of a job as we’d hoped before our arrival, but when I told the owner afterward she apologized and said they will evaluate new options for next season (we were the last of the summer). The house is in pretty good shape, the kayaks outside by the small beach were a nice addition. The basement, where half of the beds are located, is not bad but be prepared to empty the dehumidifier down there twice a day because it is damp so it fills up fast. This isn’t to say it’s a bad basement but it is a basement in Michigan that could probably use another update. The kitchen is great, one of the better we have had in a rental, and it is very well stocked with all the items you will need. They even left plenty of wood for a night or two by the fire pit out back by the lake. It is worth noting that the front of the house sits about 30 feet from a pretty busy road where traffic drives 45-50mph. The bedroom with the two bunks has a window facing that direction and with a sound maker and fan running, the kids still said they could hear traffic. How much it impacted sleep is hard to say because they are young kids, but you can hear cars going by so keep that in mind. I heard nothing in the basement rooms. Overall the location was great being close to Traverse City and Elk Rapids and more, the lake was amazing, the house was nice, and the backyard was perfect for our family.

The water and beach is the best part of the home. House had everything we needed. Some areas could use some updating down the road, but house was plenty of space for everyone. We were outside on the water most of the day anyways.

Great stay

We checked in for the weekend and our stay was amazing. Everything was super clean and appeared how it does on the photos. Contacting was super easy and fast. I recommend staying here for the weekend or longer!

Perfect for families

This house was perfect for our little reunion of families. All rooms were as advertised. Would suggest mentioning one room is in the attic. Based on the photos we were surprised by how close the front of the home was to the street. It was challenging to get in and out of driveway for some.
