This is a great budget hotel with amenities that exceed expectations (pool, hot tub, gym, and a great breakfast). But the sheer window coverings affect comfort (every light in the parking lot and even the headlights of cars driving by on the frontage road is visible from inside the room) and more importantly present a safety/privacy concern as everything inside the room is visible to everyone in the parking lot when the rooms’ lights are on. When I parked my car, I saw the people in the two rooms in front of my car — one man wearing a hoody sitting on the edge of the bed checking his phone, in the room next door, a woman wearing a button up shirt was folding clothes. Being able to see that much detail felt intrusive to me, but knowing that people in the parking lot could see inside my first floor room just as easily as I could see in from outside made me quite uncomfortable. I would strongly recommend replacing these window coverings. The fact that the building’s exterior door locks were mostly nonfunctional also means that a bad actor lurking outside the building could easily come inside and victimize a solo traveler. I would stay here again, but I would refuse any ground level room for safety/privacy reasons.
