Worst check-in experience ever. This stay was during the January 25/26 ice storm when thousands of flights were cancelled and everything was closed. I arrived at 11 a.m. with plenty of rooms clearly available, yet was charged an early check-in fee and forced to wait four hours in a 64°F lobby.
The fireplace was decorative only and gave no heat. When I tried to work in the breakfast area, the front desk refused to turn on the lights, so I dragged a table and chair into the lobby just to work. Even then, there was no heat from the vents.
I booked this hotel specifically for the pool and hot tub. The pool was freezing cold and poorly maintained, and the hot tub was broken.
I asked about the airport shuttle and was told it wasn’t working. The explanation later changed to weather, then to the driver being off. None of the stories matched.
When I moved my table closer to a warmer hallway, I was told I couldn’t sit there. Only after the manager saw me on camera was I finally allowed into my room early. The room itself was clean and spacious — the only positive.
The assistant manager promised an Amazon gift card to cover my $33.25 Uber, but only if I left a positive review. Two days later, no card and no follow-up.
Everyone I met wanted to leave. Stay away from this hotel.
