This is an older hotel that has been rennovated and is in very good shape. I would definitely stay here again as it is more reasonably priced than most other options. A free hot breakfast is a plus and staff very helpful. Nothing stands out as to anything we didnt like but I would have liked to turn down the temperature at night. We were able to open windows to let cool air in before bedtime and that helped.

The building was a little worn on the outside, but the inside and rooms were very nice. Convenient to downtown Valdez. The breakfast was great!

Made a reservation at this hotel because they advertised having a bar. When checking in I asked when it open that evening was informed it would not be opening. I think for renovations. Later that evening I called the front desk because I could not get any tv channels and was informed the hotel was having problems with reception. Both issues should have been mentioned at check in with the option to cancel my reservation instead of having to discover the problems. Felt like the hotel was not being honest which is unethical.

The hotel has an amazing view of the mountains. I loved being able to open the window, have the fresh air and mountain view while laying in bed. The beds were very comfortable and the down comforters were very nice. Overall appearance of hotel is dated, but it was comfortable and close to walking distance to shops/food.

I have stayed at this motel for the last two years and I get the same excuse every years as to why the cable does not work in the rooms. I was told they are working on it for 2 years. The cable in the lobby works fine but there is no working TV in the rooms.

When checking in the clerk proceeded to tell us that he was not supposed to be working that night but someone called in so there he was. While talking he was spitting everywhere. Our bathroom had trash under the sink and the linens felt dirty. The shower head was rough cuz it looked broken and needed new head. The room was very dusty and we weren’t given instructions on how to turn the tv or there wasn’t instructions on how to use the entertainment in that room. The property probably need a new management team.

I was pleasantly surprised. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. The hotel is dated and in need of updating. Desk clerk was friendly and informative. Coffee in lobby. Breakfast is provided, it we left really early to take the ferry and missed it. Would definitely recommend, places to stay in Valdez is very limited and the price was good.
