Check in was difficult. the automatic front door was jamming. Outside the door was a narrow sidewalk and a high curb. The wind blew the cart over onto my wife, hurting her while she was trying to manage it. Later we had to use a heavy side door that was hard to hold open as we were coming and going through our stay.
The room was neglected. The toilet was wobbly when you sat. The walk-in shower was dirty, the floor had not been scrubbed. There was mold in all four corners of the stall. There was no grab bar in the shower for safety's sake, this was an important failing. The bathroom was way too dark.
The TV remote did not work properly, it was not until the third night of our stay that it was rectified.
The manager was especially un-helpful, all she did was offer excuses and even lied, she made apologies but they were insincere. I felt she was blowing me off, especially when I was reporting some physical problems I was having.
The first night I followed the sign that led to the end of my 3rd floor room hall to the ice machine, it was turned off.
I had to walk all over the motel looking for ice and my bad knees were paining me terrible. I ended up at the front desk and was directed to the ice machine on that floor, it was empty. I was told that it had not been reset. An item of fact, the five nights we stayed at this motel there was no ice available, morning or night. It felt like everything was being done as cheaply as possible and at the customers expense.
