It was good. The sheets could be better quality. The room on the 4th floor that we were offered to change in after check out was very dirty and gross. But overall we enjoyed our stay.

I had a really bad experience in the hotel 1- the door from room 524 doente lock outside 2- the toilet not flash 3- i lede a clores in side the room and Back to get they not aloud do let me in the room and regular to find, they found just after i call the police 4- i never stay in that hotel anymore 5- i did not fell safe

We were in VA Beach for only one night for a concert. We were looking for a hotel at the beach that wouldn’t beak the bank. The Schooner Inn is an older hotel, but the rooms are clean as was the pool area. The beach is extremely accessible and lifeguarded if you need that option. It is a quick walk to the best restaurant at the beach…waterman’s surfside restaurant. All rooms have a water view although the ones on the front side are facing Rudee inlet rather than the ocean. All have decks, some kitchenettes, and some suites. We just had a double room facing the inlet. It was less than $200/night on a holiday weekend. I would stay here again, but next time would upgrade to ocean view.

We have stayed at the Schooner multiple times over the years and enjoy the location and types of rooms. Unfortunately we saw a noticeable decline in cleanliness and care of the facilities during our most recent stay. The microwave was dirty, the sink didn’t drain properly, the whirlpool jets were weak and the coverlet on the bed was dirty. The room overall just was dingy looking compared to other past visits. However, the staff and maintenance crew were fabulous and helpful. We would like to try another stay, hoping for some improvements.

Rooms are accessed from the outside like a motel. Rooms were heavily scented with cleaner. Balcony side not facing ocean overlooked a construction area. It served its purpose for us, but we won't be back. Housekeeping was very kind and considerate

We basically enjoyed our stay, especially being on the beach and the hot tub, mini kitchen in the room. Everything seemed clean except for the floor. After we got out of the tub I took the floor mat and wiped up the water from walking to the bathroom and the towel was nasty meaning the floor was not clean. The chairs on the balcony was nasty looking as well.

The room was accommodating especially with 2 babies. The floors were filthy. I can’t think of a worse word. Our feet were black! Our socks were black. Not good when little ones playing on the floor.
