the staff was very attentive and customer focused. Some rooms are quite out dated, but they are in process of updating the rooms. The ice cream was excellent.

This is a cheap 2 star motel at most. Bed is comfortable and clean but that’s it. No staff here most of the time. Even the coffee machine didn’t work in the morning and no one here to help.

Two completely different experiences available. We were able to choose from a room in the main house that was over 150 years old. Beautiful room with lots of space! The other room was completely remodeled and modern. This place had the best of both worlds as well as very friendly staff. Great location to walk every where including to the entrance of Watkins Glen park. Great stay, highly recommend!

Never again

Think of a boarding house with paper thin walls right on the main thoroughfare of the town. Guests up early into the morning talking right outside our door. Then beginning at 2:30 a.m. two people from the creamery (I guess) in the kitchen talking up a storm. Finally at 3:30 I had to get out of bed and ask them to be quiet. Next comes the trash truck at 4 a m. with it's back up beeper going off and clanging trash cans. You can here every footstep on the creaking floors and every toilet that flushes. ZERO sleep

The outlets did not work, except by front window and bathroom. The queen size bed had an unsupported king size mattress. The shower handle fell off causing extreme hot water. The refrigerator was stained. A space heater was provided for the chilly temperatures.

Clean but small, uncomfortable bed

Bed and pillows were the worst. Both way too soft with no support. Cheap bedframe with no headboard so pillows kept slipping down the between the wall. Only one chair in the room. Shower very small and uncomfortable. Everything was clean and room was recently remodeled, they just need to focus more on comfort. We left a day early due to the bed.

The room I stayed in was clearly not cleaned well, visible dust under the bed and someone’s old socks behind the rolling clothing rack. The bed comforter had dark stains on it and was clearly not clean. The bed was set on two small frames which left a gap in the middle that was unsupported, which would start to collapse when laying in the middle.

It appeared that the property was in the midst of serious room renovation. The sink, fixtures, bed and flooring appeared relatively new. The housekeeping however, left a lot to be desired. The AC and windowsills were very dirty. There was some trash under the bed. It worked for a 1 night stay, but not sure I'd return unless the cleanliness improved.

I conveniently located at the center of town, you can walk to many places. It’s a few blocks down from Watkins Glen State Park. There’s a self check in, and the room is cozy
