For a larger resort style hotel, I thought the food was well above average. The room and bed comfort were excellent and a big plus for a non left hand side driver, a oarking lot with a not only sufficient space, but enough open swing room to get in and out of the lot with ease.

Good stay for 2 nights. Small double bed and room small for rate we paid. Bit disappointed in room size bearing in mind what we paid. Hot tap very noisy at sink. Cooked Irish breakfast dry and bit overcooked but breakfast on second morning was fabulous. We had poached eggs and salmon from menu. Reception and housekeeping team friendly and good/efficent. Leisure staff very professional and friendly. Lovely gardens and grounds. Good location. Beautiful hotel.

Dinner and breakfast menu options were extensive and the food well prepared and presented . Dining room lovely (especially if sitting in the bay window area). I never review hotels but this one is an exception. Knockranny is a true gem, and if you are in the area, you won't regret staying here. Everything about this hotel is perfect - from staff to bed sheets to the hotel grounds. I'll have to come back to Westport so I can stay here again!

Not family-friendly Kids are only allowed to use the pool from 9-12 on weekends, not during the week. I also wouldn’t call it a spa, the pool is freezing, no toiletries for use after the pool. The sauna and steam room were the worst iv ever been in. Swimming hats are €4 per person. I would have brought my own if this was mentioned in the description. There’s no arcade/ games room in which it’s stated there is. There is a pool table which is over 18s only. They also say they have archery and bike rentals which they don’t either. It’s a bit of a walk to the town also uphill so be aware of that if not so great at walking. Taxis are difficult to get at night. Might be an okay hotel for a couple but it is not family-friendly. I feel the hotel needs to change the description as it’s not completely accurate.
