I disliked the check-in process, 1. Online - usually fine but 2. Get to the hotel for an upsell to additional resort, pay now, get a voucher kind of thing, felt like timeshare selling upon check-in. Could not skip, avoid, not want it in order to get my room key. I just want simple quick quiet check-in after a long travel day.

The facility and staff smelled like marijuana. The pool area was disgusting and unsafe. Saw a guy cut his hand on a rickety railing in the main area and the front desk refused to acknowledge fault or help at all. Breakfast looked like it had been reheated from the day before. Staff was extremely rude to every guest we saw. There was hair in multiple towels. The AC/Heat didn't work. The fridge and microwave were filthy. We had random charges added to our card during our stay with no forewarning or explanation at all. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!

We called ahead and asked if we could check in early. They said 2:00. We got there at 2:30 and they said our room wont be ready til 4. We wouldve waited to leave. Then in order to get our room key, we had to listen to some time share presentation. Since we couldn’t get in early, we were in a hurry for a reservation. It was extremely annoying. The room was clean. Pillows werw horrible but bed was pretty comfortable. The pool was nice and warm and the hottub was a nice touch. Breakfast was ok. The bread/muffin rack was empty and they kept running out of things. The coffee maker didnt work for a short time either. It was so busy we never got a chance to make waffles since it ends at 9am. Seems a bit early for a breakfast time to end. Theres was so much garbage laying around the entire outside of the property. Even the woods we could see off the balcony. Needs some clean up for sure. Overall if was an ok stay. I miss the old ambiance of a log cabin feel. The price was fitting for the overall experience.
