The Mantra is convenient to everything and check in was easy. Unfortunately the unit was very rundown. The lounge was very stained and the furnishings and carpet very worn. The carpark is quite tight to exit if you have a large vehicle. I also was placed in an accessible apartment which was fine however if I’d been in a wheelchair there is absolutely no way i could have accessed the bedroom as the lounge was only about 50cm from the door. There was also a strong smell of cigarettes in the apartment and no tea towels.

We were a family of 4 and had a one night stay at the Mantra. It ticked all the boxes. It is on a main road so the surrounds are particularly picturesque but it was quiet and had plenty of street parking. We'd definitely go back as it was good value relative to other accommodation options in the Gong

Flat surfaces in our room were dusty/dirty. Reception staff member was not overly friendly or willing to engage in conversation and suggestions when prompted. Older property with minimal up keep/refreshing really shows in white trims and broken latches handles

The pet friendly unit was absolutely great! All rooms/bathroom/balcony very spacious with separate lounge area. A nice view out to the distant mountains and not too loud from traffic and quiet. Loved the fully equipped kitchen and also bathroom had a washing machine/dryer with plenty of room on the balcony to dry items on a rack provided also. Can walk into the Centre of Wollongong to all of the main shops. Everything very nearby, perfect for us as we were meeting up with family in the area. A very acceptable price also that we were very happy with. Only issue is you do need to walk your doggie down a few levels in the lift and there is not too much grassy areas for them to relieve themselves so you need to walk along some side streets. Parking is limited and you need to pay $15 per night undercover on property and there is a $80 dog fee per stay that I did not realise at the time until I got there. All in all very happy with our 5 night stay there.

I booked apartment with full kitchen, very limited utensils, only one pot which was gravey size, two non stick frypans in bad condition, damaged Teflon so not safe to use, no serving bowls or spones, Rangehood broken, TV didn't work and tolit seat broken.

The last few week, slowly been making my way down the Coast from Qld to lower Vic By far, the best value hotel I have stayed at on this trip! Great room sizes, comfy beds, amazing shower water pressure, full kitchen and so clean with freezing cold air con Reception staff, two younger ladies - both where exceptional in there service and heard someone else compliment them as well Parking - onsite, safe and secure! Definitely will be booking there again in the future

Overall a pleasant stay and very quiet. The superior apartment was a very good size, but the single shower was small. No bath. Only given limited towels. Kitchenette was excellent. Staff were good. The one small lift was terribly slow - really slow.

I walked into my room, found some type of disgusting stains all over the lounge and cushions. The property smells, is old and dirty. There is one lift that takes forever to get up and down. The room itself is awful. Bare and old with very little in it - just large open void. I left the property immediately upon walking into my room and changed to another hotel. A definite hotel to avoid. Looks nothing like the photos online.
