I was not informed that the hot tub was out of service, that is one of 2 main things we look for in a place to stay. I also saw on the site that the hotel had a family friendly game/arcade and they do not, they said they have skills machines when i called to ask questions regarding the game room. My keys worked for the front door but not the door to go out to the pool. I also was told they could not open the pool until 10am because they are vety strict about that rule so the lady at the front desk said we could stay and check out at 12. The pool was late opening up there was 4 families waiting 10 minutes to get in before leaving and then at 11:15 someone from the front desk called and asked what was going on if i was staying another night, i told her we was told we could check out at 12 so she said um ok ill note that.

This property has massive potential. We are locals that look for relaxing nights away. We are a busy couple so finding quiet, relaxing local Hotels are important to us. My comments were reserved to contacting the property directly, I will not publicize my entire thoughts. Our experience was tainted by poor etiquette from the neighboring room. We liked that our room had a jetted tub. It was clean. The bed was a little lumpy but tolerable. So overall 3/5. 5/5 cleanliness. There were staff moping floors and cleaning even at 10pm. So they care about cleanliness. Breakfast 3/5. Front desk staff told us the wrong breakfast hours so we did not get to participate but it looked delicious. 3/5 staff. Front desk staff at check in was meh. At check out they listened to my concerns and appeared to look into what happened. 2/5 property conditions. It’s an older facility and it shows. But we give this rating because the smell of cigarettes were everywhere and it’s off putting. 4/5 area around the property. It’s okay. Overall I’d probably recommend and I hope to give it a try again.

Front entrance, dining areas, and pool were all very nice. Couldn't locate pool towels so had to walk back without a towel. Rooms were decent for a one night stay. Could use some updating throughout halls and maybe carpet removal as some areas smelled of stale cigarette smoke.

Staff was courteous. Staff met our needs in a timely fashion. Room was clean, but not exceptional; fingerprints on windows, no lightbulb, not a bright and cheerful room. For an older hotel, it’s a good value. Desk clerk gave a better deal since out room was not ready upon arrival. Since there is only one elevator, I’m concerned for the safety of occupants. I hope all the handicapped rooms are on the 1st floor with quickly assessable exits. Overall, it was a nice stay. As always, I loved the festive atmosphere.
Pool water was warm, air temperature was a little too cool.
