The Athens Gate is an amazing property with fantastic views of the Acropolis from your balcony if you request that room type. The staff was very friendly and helpful and you are only a few minutes (safe) walk to the incredible Plaka shopping and dining district as well as the Acropolis itself. There is an excellent 'rooftop' bar with great views of the Temple of Zeus and the Acropolis and the breakfasts served up there were fantastic. We loved this hotel.

Perfect location for the Acropolis and other historic sites, just down the street from a HOHO bus stop. Staff are efficient and excellent and restaurant with a perfect view of the Parthenon is likewise excellent. Wis there were Nespresso machines in room or at least at breakfast but that is a minor detail. Also noise from street is 24/7 even with soundproofing but not much to be done about that. Rooms and beds are comfortable and spotlessly clean. Stay here and you will not be disappointed!

Great hotel in an excellent location! Room was spacious and clean and comfortable bedding. Pillows were great and comfy! Food was amazing at the roof top restaurant. One of the best Greek salads we had was at the roof top restaurant with amazing view. Breakfast was great with many options. Did not like the elevator door and small sizes. Didn’t like the toilet paper being rough and out of recycled paper. Service the restaurant could have been better. I had to ask for coffee several times and didn’t get any creamer. Front desk staff could have been friendlier.

Perfect location! Across the street from temple of Zeus. Block away from hop on hop off bus stop and shopping in Plaka. Our room had view of acropolis. Rooftop bar was gorgeous.

This place was great! Couldn’t have asked for a better location. Our room was is the small side but we didn’t expected differently. The restaurant was really good; however their cocktails need a lot of improvement. It is still worth to dine there and enjoy the amazing view. But be aware the restaurant is pretty tiny so make reservations early. The property was modern and really nice and confortable. The staff was helpful and friendly! They even lets us borrow an adaptor for our stay. If I went back to Athens I would not hesitate to stay there again.

I recommend Athens Gate Hotel

The front desks, the room attendants, the guys helped us to carry our luggage and opened the door for us were very helpful and friendly. The other crew at the restaurant on 8th floor were not too friendly. The latter crew (the tall lady) was friendly and very nice. She was always polite and smiling while asking us for more coffee. This was during our breakfast in the morning. We never had a chance for dinner there.

This property is in the center of Athens, which is ideal for reaching everything. The only negative thing about this property is that the elevators are extremely too small

Athens Gate Hotel is fantastic!

We loved staying at The Athens Gate Hotel because it’s very centralized, within walking distance to the Acropolis Hill and Museum, Plaka and great selection of restaurants, modern style. The hotel rooms and Roof Top Restaurant offers fantastic views of Athens historic sites and are rooms are clean and comfortable beds and soft bedding. Definitely would stay again!!!

Location is excellent. Walking distance to Acropolis, Acropolis museum, temple of Zeus, Plaka area. Nice rooftop with acropolis view. The only thing I wasn’t thrilled about was the drinks we ordered one evening very terrible and morning breakfast wasn’t that great in taste. But the location and friendliness of staff and letting us check in early was amazing made up for everything else!

Room was very quiet and comfortable. The front desk staff were very accommodating and helped me check on my tour schedule. For those of you who really enjoy a large breakfast, they offer a hearty selection to please the most finicky eater. I did not try the restaurant, but I did have cocktails in the afternoon, and it was very pleasant with a gorgeous view of Athens.
