It was an old hotel. Neat buildings and appreciated the older decor. Rooms had a musty smell (assuming due to the age of the hotel) and our friend’s room had mold on ceilings.

I love the concept of this hotel/motel. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. The furniture is fun and having a fridge was a bonus. I'm giving 4 stars because the room could have been cleaner. Although the bedding was really nice we did find hair in it. Also the bathroom showers need better upkeep. Rust was visible and mold were visible all over. Also having shampoo/conditioner is a great gesture, it's not helpful when it's empty. The friendly staff really saved this rating!

upon checking in to the room, we noticed pink slime mildew all aroung the bottom line of tile in the shower, stuff stuck on the shower wall. We went to the front desk, reported this to Nanette, she immediately said that it was stained grout, but called the housekeeping dept. and the manner she expressed our concerns was unprofessional, as if we were unreasonable in mentioning this dirty bathroom, it was cleaned up a bit, the a/c in the room is not good, it always felt damp in the room, the room looks worn out, smells mildewy and the bed wasn't comfortable. Fresh towels and linens were only changed 1 time during a week long stay. I have been a guest at the former Graduate, but as the Abacus there is a lot to improve, starting with the attitude at the Front Desk.

Maybe a bit aged, but charming in my opinion. I would score it higher if the breakfast had more choices and the restaurat menu needs to expand and upgrade. The bar service was "the cans you see up there is what we have", which was not much.

The property is nice and convenient to downtown and campus but the musty, damp smell in the room was so overpowering when we opened the door that I had to prop it open to air it out. Not sure if it’s because of all the rain recently or a malfunctioning AC unit but it was pretty bad. Otherwise the room was fine. Would not stay here again unless dampness issue is remedied.

Completely not worth the money

It is a motel and not a hotel. Outdated, musty rooms. Air conditioner was leaking onto the floor.
