Beautiful clean and spacious room. Were in accessible unit. Shower handle didnt stay up and water went for miles! Bathroom setup wasnt very good! Everything else was perfect! After a long flight, i love a long hot shower! But water didnt even get hot! Have stayed here many times and will be back! Great friendly staff and easy parking.

We stayed in the executive room on 25th floor, the views were amazing. We could see the Sky tower and harbour bridge from our room windows and even from the living area. We loved it.

The property is well located in the city. Easy walk to Skytower, Queens street shops and Viaduct harbour. We had a lovely view of skytower from our room, which was nice.

Ok place to spend a night if not driving to it. No place to stop to even get your luggage out and if you park at the Wilson parking as suggested , be ready to smell a lot of pee in the stairs or lift, horrendously expensive at 40 dollars an entry over 1 hour .

Run down and doesn’t feel that clean

Have stayed at Barclay 3 or 4 times over the years and I’m not sure I’ll return again. The property is very run down, more like a motel level of furnishings and overall condition (broken door stops, carpet sagging/rolling). Good location and spacious when travelling with a group.

Our stay at Barclay was very good. A 2 bedroom apartment was great for our family of 3 over two nights. It might be a little too cosy for any longer, but we'd stay here again if in the city.

Not too bad

Not a bad stay. Great location but lots of street noise, to be expected. The room had some strange quirks - the automatic window took a minute to figure out, the remote for the TV was taped up and didn’t work, and both bedrooms had power outlets at the end of the beds. So no ability to charge phones nearby or have a lamp. The shower also sprayed EVERYWHERE, I don’t understand how the bathroom got so saturated from a 5 minute shower. But the staff were nice and it was adequate for a 2 night stay.

2 night stay in Auckland

Walking to the place is uncomfortable through no fault of their own, construction is taking place on the street so there’s roadwork. That’s the only negative about the place, great apartment and comfortable bed. Cooking facilities are good with supermarkets and the Auckland CBD nearby, as well as skycity and the airport bus terminal, so is walkable if you can navigate the roadworks. The hotel has access to a nearby gym within reception hours, and has very friendly and knowledgeable staff. In general, a great hotel well worth the price

Barclay Suites are very conveniently placed for sightseeing and getting about. Our suite was spacious, clean and comfortable and had more or less everything we needed. A cheese grater, colander and wooden spoon would be helpful but those are very minor details! Would definitely stay again.

Great location. Great value for money. Lift was slow and the hallways were a bit tatty. Let down by the breakfast down stairs as the cafe is extremly small, cramped and tea and coffee was not included as part of "breakfast included"!!. Regardless, we would stay here again.

Felt this property was overrated. Had Deluxe 2 bdrm suite. Barely worth 3 stars. 1- Beds made daily & trash emptied, BUT NO other cleaning. 2- Water temp varied significantly from very hot to cold in shower even though temperature control remained in same position 3- A/C was unit in main area only & did not cool either bedrooms 4- Got stuck in elevator on 11th floor for 20 min while emergency crew called 5- Kitchen was VERY sparsely furnished. Not even a coffee pot

Overnight pre cruise . Perfectly fine for this as short Will to terminal. We were couples and had booked 2 x doubles but could only get a double and 2 singles on check in . One room was not available till 5 , 2 hours after should have been available.
