Would not stay here again. Closer on door to room so strong it was hard to open and slammed hard. Seemed like tried to save money everywhere possible; had to force phone charger plug into wall socket, tried 3 and none worked, finally used plug on lamp; shower was ridiculously hard to turn on then water went hot to cold over and over; mattress reminded me of sleeping on a stack of towels; the “pillows” on the bed were bolsters like you would put behind your back to sit up - too thick and hard to sleep on, room has dinette with big heavy square plates that would fit in microwave, but were too big for microwave turntable to turn; provided tableware that reminded me of something you might buy at an army surplus store, bathroom tissue was low quality. Instead of carpet, the room floors had what I believed to be ceramic tile made to look like wood flooring and it was cold to walk on. Place was clean and staf was helpful. However, the room was noisy all night long from street traffic, and there seemed to be a lot of helicopter traffic overhead, which I could not understand. I even requested a quiet room, but I have no idea if tha request was honored. I have stayed in downtown Austin hotels before with good results, but this was not a good experience for me.

The staff were very nice and the location was perfect. The breakfast was just sad. They were out of many things early and items were not replaced timely. The pancake day they were using an electric griddle that took forever. The breakfast area is very small and there were too many people in that small space. The first couple of days we went early and it was crowded and the next couple of days we went later and it was crowded. Housekeeping was also an issue. We had to go to the front desk to ask for toilet paper because the maid left an almost empty roll on the holder. After two hours no one had delivered any TP and we had to go ask again to have some brought to us. Two of the days, the maid was knocking to clean the room around 8:45 am and woke us. That being said, they did a good job cleaning the room once we could dress and get out. I could see staying here again if the price was right because of location, but I would go grab breakfast elsewhere!

Overall, great location and price. Only issue we had was transfer of noise between rooms. We were woken early every morning by crying children or maintenance.
