Privacy and security concerns. Cleaning team had an access to my personal things and then shared with other details. I have found it accidentally when it was used to make some jokes and “fun” on me. They thought it was funny but I see a big security problems in a hotel. It also includes IT and other contractors. Client info isn’t protected but is a tool for a shady groups in a street

The highlight of the stay was the spa. The water was warm (30C), the steam room and sauna was clean and hot. It was intimate and numbers were limited. Just perfect to relax. The breakfast and dinner were very good value and excellently produced. It couldn't be in a better place.

While Hotel 1898 is a nice property, I found the pool area to be quite a bit smaller than it appeared in the photos. I was also disappointed with the breakfast selection, as it was exactly the same every day of my stay. On a positive note, the room was kept clean and tidy throughout my visit.

This was a fantastic pre-cruise hotel in Barcelona. 1. Super-central but still somehow quiet 2. The thermal spa was really lovely after long days of sightseeing 3. The breakfast add-on was absolutely worth it 4. All the staff were pleasant and helpful There was a bit of a mix up with needing two beds but the team sorted it out quickly. I would stay at this hotel again and will recommend it to friends.
