We had a pillow case that was dirty. And when I asked for a 3rd towel for our son, we were provided 2, I was told I had to come back a 9:30am for the cleaning staff.

We love the location although a little noisy with the school and road and train nearby Being able to walk to beach is what we like. The property is a great location we chose the room with the kitchenette having a stove and fridge and mini fridge was great,bring your utensils,pots,napkin plates salt pepper they dont provide anything. They do have a ice maker which was great

Worst hotel experience ever! Checked in & went into our room to find it dirty & with cigarette smell, even though they claim that it’s a “non smoking room”. I couldn’t stay in those type of conditions due to me being pregnant as well as having my husband & 2 year old with me. Went back to the desk to try & get another room

Very convenient location- 2 min walk to Carlsbad village . Easy parking. Rooms are small but fine for a couple who wants affordability . Property can use an outside paint overhaul, which Vijay agrees with. Property has plenty of potential with some TLC .

Great Place! Great Price.

I chose this place because of its location and convenience. It is a beautiful place in a beautiful city. The location is near most anything you could want within walking distance and a beautiful beach scene if you do walk anywhere.

This is a very patched up hotel with zero pride or attention to detail. At check in I was handed a television remote that was dirty and the back of it had fallen off, so the batteries were exposed and tape was holding them on. The office had damage to the ceiling and the attendant said it happened last year. They still had not fixed it. My air conditioner button to increase the temperature had a hole in it and you had to stick something into the hole to make it work. When I complained and showed it to the attendant, he stuck the back end of a paint brush into the hole and said "See, it works." Thus, the ownership is ok with this poor working order and presentation. The doors were dirty on the inside and outside as well as the door mouldings. They could probably be cleaned by simply wiping them down, but they clearly don't care. There is poor drywall and stucco patchwork in the rooms and on the exterior of the hotel. Finally, that nifty taped up dirty remote couldn't even turn on the TV. Don't reward these owners for being cheap and having no pride of ownership or attention to detail.

Reserved room at Scandinavian Motel , one king bed, upon check in was given 2 queen beds. Front desk staff (male) was rude. Blow dryer in the room not working, went back to let them know at the front desk and the male staff was very rude. Room is filthy, bugs are crawling, neighboring rooms are noisy, area is getto. Low class motel for the price paid. Reserved 3 nights, checked out after one night stay. The worst place ever. Very disappointed that hotel.com does not consider checking the hotels that they have on their listings.

The room was not really clean. If I walked barefoot, my feet turned black. I stayed 4 days and my room was cleaned twice. That said the employees were lovely. The motel is .3 miles from the Village and walking distance from everything. The nearby beach is super accessible. I prob would stay there again but maybe bring a Swiffer wet jet.
