Earplugs should be given to guests in room 215!

My main complaint was the amount noise all night. The room 215 is right by the front desk and could hear every conversation all night long! Could hear the side door slamming and people going up and down the hallway and wooden steps at all hours. Had planned to stay for 2 nights but left early because of the amount of noise and the bed was as firm as sleeping on the floor. Pillows are hard/lumpy and cases are stained. The walls and light fixtures are dusty. Has a beat up desk but no chair. Bathroom needs a good bleaching and tiles scrubbed! The shampoo dispenser on the wall was dirty and didn't work. No microwave in the room but has one in the lobby so you can here it being used as well and Keurig coffee in the lobby was $2! Lol The restaurant is closed on weekdays so plan on bringing food. The outdoor patio has a nice view of the Kentucky River. A nice concrete pad to the side of the building with a small fire pit. Best part is the hiking trail to Cumberland falls.

Convenient for hiking

The rooms are a bit dated and our "river view" wasn't what we were expecting. Typically when we've booked river view rooms the river was the main view. This room gave us a view of lots of trees and the river in the distance. It was very convenient to be able to get up early and walk the trail down to the falls.

I was so excited to finally get to stay right at Cumberland Falls, how delusional I was. Upon checking in, the lady at the counter was rude. When I asked her to repeat how to get to my room, she snapped, " I was only trying to help." Which was great, but I have hearing loss and cant always hear directions. The electric was flashing on and off the entire visit and was told that a tree was on the wires. Wasn't able to fully charge my phone that night. The usual lovely dinner buffet was good Wednesday night as was the service in the restaurant. I have eaten there every time I have come to the park, it was great like always. Except when we went down for breakfast, expecting the breakfast buffet, only to find free cereal and yogurt. This was majorly disappointing. The rooms were small, dated and dirty. I found 3 long black hairs on the floor of the bathroom, and Im blond with short hair. The card on the dresser said the room was cleaned by Rachelle 5/18/25, we checked in 5/21/25. Did no one do a double check before we checked in? DO yourself a favor, there is a Red Roof Inn 2 miles from the Park, half the price, clean, with an Outdoor pool, large comfortable rooms and friendly service. Stay there and visit the park from there.

Avoid it if you like paying for coffee.

First, no refrigerator in the room. Second, who charges 2.00 a cup for lobby coffee? Room was very small, conditioner dispenser broke off in the shower, and can barely fit on the tiny corner toilet. Food is buffet style, but dry. On a positive note, the lady down in the restaurant was very nice and helpful.

Cozy and affordable with great view

Beautiful lodge and great pricing. View was great, rooms were cozy. I do wish there was a mini fridge or microwave in the room, but overall we enjoyed our stay and the value it added to our trip. Would stay here again.

Excellent hotel, service and location. I was there to hike the next day and was grateful for the location's convenience. The room was quite comfortable and quiet in the bed was comfortable as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be back in the future.

When we first showed up i had to call the front desk to hqve them come back to re clean the room. We had to leave the next morning due to the stprms leaving the park with no electricity. And they were rude when they told us we had to.leave. i am still waiting on my refun from this trip as they said it was still going to be another week and a half before i got it.. all and all not happy

I loved everything except visit was cut short because of neighboring tornado. I think the outside of resort looked a little bit like a castle. Definitely recommend the buffet. Id seen bad reviews but i don't have any complaints. Friendly employees, comfy bed and great food. What more could you ask for?
