The Cozy Afghan is in a beautiful, historic building in downtown St. Marys. The room was very clean and well appointed. There was a coffee shop and multiple restaurants within easy walking distance. We were in the area for elk viewing and the location was extremely convenient, less than a 30-minute drive from the Keystone Elk Country Visitor Center.

Building and interior are old,the mish mash of chairs in foyer area look like they were trash picked. Outside is plain, no flowers, old, in need of a little landscape or at least a few flowers in pots. The sheets seemed old and were paper thin. Porch outsiide was dirty. No where to sit and relax. Over all so disappointing. Not sure but it seemed the owner was the only one working there. There is nothing to do in close proximity and the town is not at all a place to hang out. No coffee in room or any where near. Sadly this experience has scared me from staying at another bed and breakfast. We did drive to elk visitor center which was a great experience and saw a few elk.

Staff was friendly room was nice size and decorated nice. Air conditioner lost its cool and by morning the room was very muggy. Also the shower was small, decent size but the flooring strips had the floor. Very slippery. All in all though it was a great stay. Would definitely recommend

Old victorian charm

Keeping in mind that it is an old beautiful home, it was very pretty. Loved all the old charm. The host was nice and told us the history of the house. Will stay there again.

B & B with no breakfast, no discount.

Breakfast was too restrictive. 7:30 to 8:30 only. When we asked for earlier breakfast, we were told, it’s not available. So we asked for a 9:00 breakfast and we were told that would not work. Just surprised that owner was so closed to our needs.

This is a lovely historical property. Our room was spacious and the bed was soft but comfortable. The pillows and covers were stained yellow but otherwise the furnishings were clean and tasteful. The weather didn't cooperate for us to try the pool, but it appeared clean. We found the breakfast to be less than other similar properties. Small portions of a set menu with no variation or inquiry as to the guests preferences. We would recommend this property for its historical beauty and location.

A most pleasant stay

A charming old home - comfortable room. There is no elevator so the second and 3rd floors are not accessible for some. Although the rooms do not have fridges, we were most welcome to store meds and perishables in the kitchen fridge. Host Richard and his mum are most welcoming and kind.

Disappointed

Just disappointed. We went down for breakfast and were served 2 pancakes, a slice of watermelon, a sausage patty and coffee. When I mentioned that I could not eat a pancake because I'm diabetic, they took away the pancakes and never offered anything else saying I should've told them about my dietary concerns the day before. We heard cussing in the kitchen when my plate was taken back. Won't go back again!
