We have stayed here twice and the hotel room and areas are fine— very clean and convenient for a night-before-cruise stay. However this AM while down at breakfast the elevator broke. Things happen, mechanics fail. Marking down the review has more to do with the hotel response to this— which was little to none and those who did were chaotic and confused. No one seemed to know what to do or who to call. One employee stood there repeatedly pressing the call button as if maybe that would fix it. This made for a long stairway climb to the 5th floor— AFTER they unlocked the stairwell door. That was a problem .

Big disappointment.

Room shabby. Paint peeling off bathroom door. Gouges out of table under sink. Sheer curtains 2 different lengths and wrinkled. Shower fittings old and loose. No shuttle service from/to airport or cruise port. Breakfast food very blah. No one wiped tables between customers. This is really gross. Bench seating ripped and worn. Room phone didnt Work. No one came to fix it after we asked to have it fixed. At checkin the employees were very nice. At checkout employee unfriendly. Very overpriced property. Disappointed. Do not plan to return.

Breakfast should be interchangeable. Have a different menu on alternate days instead of the same thing everyday. That is to have bacon or cheese omelet instead of scrambled eggs and sausage every morning.

The rooms advertised on pictures were nothing like the room I had. It was very outdated, smelled musty and moldy. Lights dim and rusty. Rooms that are not renovated definitely need to be discounted.

Old and dirty

This property is very old and dirty. I tried to get a better room but was told I’d have to contact 3rd party to change from handicapped room to get better room. I was there for family funeral and did not want to deal with changing room with 3rd party. Dirty carpet in hall on 2nd floor and dirt on nightstands. Also cracked cabinets and handrails in bathroom coming off wall showing mildew. Bed also not comfortable felt like I was in broken springs. Room 207

Clean but needs a facelift

We love Hampton Inn! They always have a great breakfast and beds are always comfortable. This Hampton is very tired and in serious need of refreshing. Other than that the hotel was pretty clean.

Hotel staff very nice, easy check-in and room was spacious & clean. Variety of hops and restaurants that were within walking distance. The only con was the lobby floor and chairs/tables being dirty at 6am when breakfast was beginning, but maybe this was just that 1 day (Saturday).
