Terrible Hotel

We booked and paid top dollar for this room months in advance and picked this property because it was an on the beach resort. We paid top dollar and could have stayed at numerous hotels for 1/2 the price. But being a Resort, let's stay here. We were given a room that had a foul odor to it, was a little dirty and had a fantastic ocean view of their boiler room! No ocean view at all. Should have cancelled the room and gone somewhere else, but we were leaving on a bad boy 10-day Caribbean Cruise the next day, so we just went to bed. I would not recommend this property to anyone. Stay in a real resort! There are plenty down there! This place was a joke!!!

I was informed at check in time that the service was out due to construction but that I could stream. I couldn’t do either. The room was not cleaned very well. I woke up to the construction that the front desk mentioned in regards to the cable service.It was so loud all morning until I checked out. I didn’t know that it was right outside the room. The hotel is convenient to everything. I stayed here a few years ago but the service and cleanliness has changed since then.

Constructions is happening which was very loud. We were out in handicap room on the first floor right next to entrance door and the elevators. And near pool entrance door people were talking all night and in and out all night. We got no sleep.

We made the reservation not knowing anything about Galveston. We needed cruise parking and a shuttle. The hotel is easy to drive to from my home in Oklahoma. It has a restaurant on site. All the staff are top notch. We could walk a short distance and find anything we needed.

We stay every year for Mardi gras and we love it. The newly remodeling is absolutely gorgeous and the club looks really good...just don't think kids need to be in there at any time..even though they left about 7 but its a club with alcohol and lots of people drinking

The place is falling apart. They are working on it. The access to room are exterior, not inside the building. There are patios but the wind comes thru it so the door was ruffling all night. The bathroom light is also the vent, so very noisy. If it rains be ready to slip around!!! The staff is very nice. The breakfast was good. Right across from the beach!

Stayed here a handful of times in the past. Overall was satisfied with my stay, but we used to stay here because long stay cruise parking was free. It’s definitely not free anymore. Costs about as much to park at the hotel as it does at the cruise terminal parking, more if you consider tipping the shuttle driver. Probably won’t stay again the next time we cruise.
