So upsetting I traveled 5hrs away for my kids could go swimming and paid so much for they would say the pool closes at 6pm like why and didn’t care to fix the problem so never again

Pleasantly surprised by how great this hotel was. Great rooms, comfy beds, fast drink service while gambling, rooftop hot tubs, etc. will definitely be coming back!

The room was very nice but the toilet and shower were not properly cleaned, so that could have been better. We ate dinner at the tapas restaurant and it was fantastic. We ate breakfast at the brewery style restaurant and it was decent.

The check in process was terrible. We showed up to the hotel asking for a room and the front desk stated they were “sold out.” I went online onto Expedia, to see what other hotels in the area had availability. Turns out The Monarch had rooms listed as “available” on Expedia. I reserved a 1 king bed. Again, went to check in with my own reservation. Front desk stated that they didn’t have any king bedrooms but that they could accommodate with a 2 queen bedroom. The dishonesty and blatant disregard for good customer service was below any rate I could give.

Be weary of booking your stay through Expedia. I checked in and the front desk told me they couldn’t find my reservation - mind you, I booked this a month prior. They told me I had to reach out to Expedia, which took an hour of going back and forth with them. Expedias customer service did come through eventually and I was able to get into my room, BUT I lost an hour of vacation time in my hotel room trying to resolve something that shouldn’t have been a problem in the first place. Besides that, everything else was nice and clean. This rating is for the check-in fiasco. The room was as advertised, I didn’t get to use the amenities. Mariposa bistro was really good too.
