I cannot recommend this enough for first time Grand Canyon visitors. The train ride is serene and the time spent at the canyon is just right. The gore itself is beautiful and is perfect for the holiday season. It was decorated with lots of Christmas decor and a big fireplace. There is Christmas music playing everywhere and you have a feeling of a cozy mountain retreat. There are drinks and food available in the lobby adjacent bar. The train should be booked ahead of time, but boarding is super convenient and there is buffet and quick serve food available in the station. The station is on the same grounds as the hotel.

During our recent stay, the property experienced a power outage lasting approximately three hours in the evening, which prevented us from accessing hotel amenities, including the restaurants. While we greatly enjoyed the Polar Express experience, upon returning around 7 p.m. the hotel was completely dark, with no Christmas lights or other features operating. Unfortunately, there was no acknowledgment or apology from staff regarding the disruption. We typically enjoy our visits here, but this incident was disappointing given our past positive experiences.

The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Definitely put me in the Holiday spirit! Loved the atmosphere and the buffet at the hotel restaurant was awesome. Just a short walk to Route 66 shopping too!

This property continues to be beautiful and well maintained. I have visited this location several times and it continues to be a lovely location. It was my first time visiting during the holidays. It is so beautiful with the decorations and loved the attention paid to the Polar Express. Location is centrally located and have the ability to walk to route 66 to visit the stores and restaurants.

Hotel is conveniently located walking distance to downtown. The hotel has done a great job decorating for those who are visiting for the polar Express. We took the train to the Grand Canyon. I enjoyed Spencer’s Bar, easy to grab a cocktail to sit by the fireplace. There are no housekeeping services during your stay. There are things run down in the rooms but we made do.
