I will start by saying the room was nice. But, checking in was interesting. They have me the room, gave me the key cards. We got to the room and the keys didn't work, back to the registration desk. He fixed the keys, we got into a room a scared the absolute crap out of the people already in the room. More frustrated and embarrassed going back to the registration desk. They gave us an "upgrade" they put us one floor up but the room was the same. Supposedly a river view. It was 11:30 pm... it was nice to look at in the morning before we checked out.

The balcony with the the river view is all worth the stay. I did not like the highway noise and the bed needs to be upgraded for more comfort. The bed also has a bedframe corner that can be dangerous for children and elderly.

Worked very well for the conference that we were attending. Great staff and they listened to my concern about the intermittent creaking sounds in the ceiling of our room. Seemed like something on the roof, perhaps, was causing the creaking in response to the strong wind. It did wake me up in the night.

All the personnel, from check in, to restaurant staff were friendly, efficient and the food was excellent. The deco in the hotel and in the rooms was thoughtful and warm. The paintings around the facility by the owner were beautiful. One downside. The bed was lousy. Most of their competitors advertise their top brand beds. That is the only thing that may make us hesitate. It doesn’t compliment all the other touches
