This historic hotel was amazing! The grounds were landscaped so nicely, and the waterfall was beautiful! It was relaxing to spend time walking around the property. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room service was excellent. It's also a nice place for breakfast and dinner... nice sunny dining room. The only downside was an odor in the main lobby and hallways; I'm sensitive to odors and it was probably part of being an old building. I did not smell it in our room. I would highly recommend this hotel!

We stayed one night here as we were passing through hiking falls on the Columbia Gorge. The history of the hotel is pretty cool. Room was updated, a fridge would’ve been nice, but we made do. Had breakfast there and it was good. Great staff, fun to stay at a historic hotel. Grounds were pretty and lots of ducks!

Great location

Amazing location and cool historic property. Overall everything just seemed OK. The room was nice enough and clean, but just kind of tired. There was no way to heat water for coffee or tea in the room. Overall a really lovely location.

A True Gem

Columbia Gorge Hotel is a true gem, and we are always thrilled to stay there. The classic touches like a real person to operate the elevator and bring the ice bucket to our room are delightful in this day. The grounds are beautiful and well cared for. The room was comfortable and the bed was great. People were all very friendly and helpful, and we love the Valentino posters and all the lovely classic art deco and art on the walls. The formal dining room is delightful, although was not in use when we were there. The dining area with view of the river is always a treat, and the breakfast was delicious. The fireplace room with free coffee is also a wonderful bit of old charm with modern amenities. Thanks for keeping this jewel of the Columbia operating in such style!

Relax and soak in the beautiful surroundings.

Columbia Gorge Resort and Spa is a gorgeous hotel. The gardens are unbelievable amazing! So many different flowers, multiple streams, run through the property, along with several white wooden swings and chair settings. Rock formations to climb, a bocce court and horshoes. You can sit at a table or a bar outside, have a glass of wine overlooking the beautiful Columbia river and listen to the waterfall. There are oodles of ducks and beautiful birds to watch. The most exquisite grounds of any hotel that I’ve ever stayed at. Our room, 219 also had a fabulous view of the waterfall, river and mountains. The windows opened so we enjoyed the sound of the falls. Our king bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very nice and clean as well. The hotel was close to the scenic drive to view the Multnomah Falls as well as multiple other falls along Highway 30. Driving along 84 the views of the Columbia Gorge were gorgeous. Highly recommend at least a two night stay!
