Nice enough

The Hotel is a bit dated but rather fascinating, particularly the dining area with attached sunken bar! The outdoor pool was not heated so not good, the indoor pool was tiny and also not useable during our stay. The breakfast was good, and the staff were all over the top kind and friendly. Beds were comfy enough, and bathroom was clean.

The only concern is that the ceiling had leaks and pieces of it were falling onto the carpet in the hallway. People who served in the hotel were very nice.

I was disappointed in the breakfast choices, in the past I always enjoyed the breakfast choices. This time there was only a Continental choice, apparently due to small bookings, I would have liked being informed prior to our stay.

Better than ratings suggest, pleasantly surprised

I booked this stay at the last minute, because other plans fell through and I was desperate. I was skeptical, because I normally don't book anywhere with ratings below 8. But I was pleasantly surprised. The room was nice and absolutely spotless. The bathroom was outdated and fairly ugly, but even that was perfectly clean and adequate. There was daily room refresh service, which is not even a given at hotels these days. The staff were lovely and accommodating. The breakfast was decent. It was also a time of year in this college town when all the kids are coming back to school and hotel prices are jacked up incredibly high, yet this hotel was reasonably priced. Overall, I would happily stay there again.

Water damage all over the hotel on the 2nd floor especially and severely outdated bathrooms look dirty but the staff was very nice and it's one of the best continental breakfasts I've seen in years.

Requested a room near lobby, room assigned was the furthest point from the lobby in the entire hotel and was on the 2nd floor also opposite from elevator. Not good for someone traveling with mobility issues. Lots of exterior doors to enter hotel, none of them have locks or any type of security. Halls are dark and smell stale like smoke.

The staff and room was great! I am handicapped and the room had a recliner which made my stay much more comfortable. A grocery store, fast food and other services are within walking distance. I will be staying again.
