During our entry into the hotel at check in, the desk clerk didn't greet us verbally or with a smile. The desk clerk also seemed to avoid eye contact. Didn't seem like a friendly experience. Very different from the desk clerk in the morning when we came down for breakfast and checked out. Also after we had been in the room for about 30 minutes, the desk clerk called us in our room. That was nice but during the conversation I told her that the A/C unit in the room was noisy when it came on. She simply suggested that we could use the wall thermostat and turn the A/C off. That's fine except that meant it might get hot / humid in the room over night which it certainly did. We turned the thermostat on the wall up but it did eventually come on and woke us in the middle of the night. She should have offered us a different room. NOT suggest that we could turn the A/C unit off. That unit really needs a new fan installed rather than ignoring the problem and making the customer uncomfortable.
