DO NOT STAY HERE

This is one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. When I arrived, no one was at the front desk, and after 30 minutes wait, a staff member finally showed up with no apology. He said he’s the only person working after 5 PM, which is shocking for a so-called 4-star hotel — no security, no support. He refused to show me the room before check-in. When I finally saw it, it was old, noisy, and nothing like the photos. The air conditioner blew directly at the bed, and the driveway noise was unbearable. When I asked for a refund, the staff was arrogant and dismissive, saying “policy” wouldn’t allow it. He also claimed talking to the manager wouldn’t help because he’s the only one in charge. 🚨 This place is unsafe, dishonest, and a complete scam. The 4-star rating is misleading. 👉 If you value your money and peace of mind, do not stay here.

Hotel is old and revamped, but looks and feels tired beyond the lipstick. Rooms look at old buildings and it is noisy. Pool was not clean. Definitely not worth $266.00 for a night. If you admire the “what once was then” this hotel offers you something to admire as it definitely has seen its golden years come and go.

Gym was closed when I wanted to use it as doesn’t open until 7 which I think it should be 6 at least. Didn’t use pool or hot tub. Looked okay. My room fridge didn’t work and stuff spoiled. For the price compared to other hotels in the area, I expected much more. The beds were probably the worst I have ever slept in. Felt like a water bed, although they weren't and with my husband next to me I was rolling into him all night. I am still sore days later. The property was run down and outdated. Lights in the covered parking lots were burned out and flashing and cameras or surveillance were non existent. Considering the hotel is right downtown next to the worst block, this was a huge concern for our safety coming and going at night. Especially seeing as it's 15$/ night extra for parking. Arrived and wanted a shower, but all the towels were oddly wet. Rooms have ZERO sound proofing and you can hear every word of your neighbors and people in the hallway. Next time stay at the Royal or the Eldorado for a better experience if you are looking for a nice hotel in the same price range. The staff were great and friendly. That was the ONE thing that was appreciated.

Pretty pricey for what it was. Plus $31 for parking and it was tight! Bed was somewhat comfy and although we were road side, we didn’t hear much of traffic. Prob wont stay again as there are other hotels we stayed at that are newer, with breakfast and less expensive. AND you don’t need to pay extra for parking. Guess depends on what you’re looking for.

With it being right on highway 97 and our room balcony facing the highway it was very busy and super noisy. They did supply ear plugs which we sleep with most nights anyways, but we could not sit on the balcony and enjoy the afternoon sun, it was just too noisy. The "Speakeasy" pub that was in the hotel was fantastic, We went for a few pops and snacks every night. The location made the hotel a must as we walked everywhere and even used the scooters one afternoon to zoom around to check out further locations. The hotel can use an upgrade and the bed was the softest (not comfortable soft) I have ever slept in. The only downside and this is a real pet peeve for me is I checked my CC when we got home and there was a S68 charge on there for no reason. I had to email the hotel to ask about it and they removed it but that just picks my a** when companies put those charges on and don't even let me know what it was for??? If I didn't email them it probably would have went through and would have been out of the $$$.

The room was stunning, beautifully decorated but was so loud with cars and trucks driving by in the night, the whole building shook, the bed and pillows were soooo uncomfortable it was hard to sleep. I would not recommend, it was very disappointing because the pictures made it look soo nice and it was expensive.

Excellent staff, clean and reasonable hotel. It shows its age, needs a refresh and improved hours of operation of their lounge. I’ll stay here again. Proximity to the boardwalk is ideal.

Hotel was in a central location with a park and lake across the street. Rooms were updated. Bathroom had a door that didn't work well. It turned into shower area. Made the space difficult. But l stay again, location was great. Thank you
