Shangri-La Bangkok

"Hotelli on sijainniltaan loistava (joen rannalla, BTS-asemalle sekä lauttalaiturille on noin minuutin kävelymatka) ja se ansaitsee kaikki viisi tähteään. Huone oli siisti ja paremmassa kunnossa, kuin oletin. Siivous oli perusteellista ja minibaarin sisältö kuului huoneen hintaan. Pullovettä tuotiin huoneeseen lisää päivittäin. Hotellin ravintolat vaikuttivat korkeatasoisilta, joskin todella hiljaisilta. Erityismaininta italialaisen ravintolan pistaasipitsalle, joka oli todella maukas. Uima-altaan ympäristö oli todella kaunis erilaisine puineen eikä aurinkotuoleille ollut ruuhkaa. Hotellilta on ilmainen venekuljetus vastarannalla sijaitsevaan ICONSIAM-ostoskeskukseen usean kerran päivässä, venematka kestää alle viisi minuuttia. Lämmin suositus tälle hotellille.
Muutamia huomioita:
- sisäänkirjautumisen yhteydessä luottokortille tehdään suurehko katevaraus (noin puolet majoituksen kokonaishinnasta), mikä palautetaan uloskirjautumisen yhteydessä
- sisäänkirjautuessa allekirjoitetaan sähköisesti useampisivuinen dokumentti, joka oli todella pientä pränttiä enkä väsyneenä todellakaan tiedä, mitä edes allekirjoitin
- allasbaarin henkilökunta oli ajoittain töykeää (mikä oli erikoista, koska hotellin ravintoloissa kohtelu oli erinomaista)
- uima-altaan vesi oli todella kylmää
- uima-allas oli usein iltapäivisin pois käytöstä erinäisten syiden vuoksi (hotellin toinen uima-allas, joka ei ole yhtä hieno, oli kuitenkin tällöin käytettävissä, eli uimaan kyllä pääsi)"
