Do Not stay here, ridiculous hidden fees. So after booking the hotel, I found out they’re a $30 per night fee to park in the hotels own self parking lot, in Carmel, which is ridiculous. Then there’s a $10 per resort fee, and then your text more than 10% on each of those things so in short an additional $45 per night added onto your day that you’re not made aware of until after you book. Not only is this just insane, it’s not something that I have experienced at other Carmel hotels. The room was nice enough with the exception of the single pain 1970s windows that had the wind whistling through them so loud that I had to make adjustments to the windows just to be able to sleep at night. I will give them credit for the fact that the restaurant had great service and great food, but considering I’m paying almost an extra $50 a night I kinda should be.

Apparently the hotel got all new mattresses recently, (I have stayed here a year ago and it was fine) if you like sleeping on a bed that is one level above concrete then you will love it! Our family had 2 rooms for 2 nights and they were the worst nights ever! Every part of our bodies ached, and ribs hurt for 3 days! Even my grandchildren were MISERABE! Unfortunately we will never return!

I've stayed here twice now because I am fond of the property and location. Both times customer service has been cold and unwelcoming. I also had troubles with charges being made to my card both times without communication from the staff which is not appreciated & when I attempted to gain clarity on this staff was blunt and unkind.

My room was not oceanview. The property located conveniently from carmel by the sea. They need to upgrade rooms with smart tvs. They need to develop a nice, clean dog area for play and business. The property would then be amazing.
