Motel Owner didn't have our reservation though it was paid for back in June. He is difficult to understand, and the Hotel.com AI assistant was difficult to work with. Couldn't talk with a human so probably my fault, guess I'm not tech savoy enough. Our check in took an hour but eventually got worked out. 1st time having a hard time with a reservation thru Hotel.com so will be more informed. The ladies in room care were awesome! While we were trying to deal with the owner and Hotel.com, they kept asking if we needed anything, tried their best to help. Being a busy weekend in Mt Pleasant, room was reasonable after all the check in issues. It's an older motel, not many options but Bob Evans next door and Starbucks across the street. No frills but not bad IMHO.

Friendly staff, lacked cleanliness

The staff is super friendly! The room however left much to be desired. There was trash on the floor, both the bedspread and sheets and stains on them - it was hard to tell if the sheets we even clean. We would have gone to another hotel however there was a concert in town so many of the hotels in the area were booked. We ended up going to the local Meijer and bought new sheets and comforter.

Over all the room was clean and bug free always a plus. The beds where hard but that a personal preference. We stayed 2 nights and they didn't make up the bedding or replace the towels. So if you would like these things done you just need to ask at desk. But it was comfortable enough and the staff were friendly.

I booked this motel through Hotels.com for a short visit to see my child who attends a nearby university, and I’ve never been more horrified by a lodging experience in my life. From the moment I arrived, the room was absolutely filthy — dirt caked into the floors, stained bed linens, and grime coating the walls. The smell inside was unbearable — a pungent mix of marijuana and curry that hit you the second you opened the door. To make matters worse, I found stink bugs crawling up the walls. It was truly revolting. The so-called “bed” was hard as a rock — I might as well have slept on the floor (if it weren’t covered in filth). As if the room itself wasn’t bad enough, trucks in the parking lot were revving their engines at 2 AM, making it impossible to get any sleep. What really pushed this experience over the edge was the appalling behavior of the office manager, PK. He called me at 10 PM the night before check-in, threatening to cancel my reservation because he “couldn’t run the card” — despite my Hotels.com booking clearly stating Pay at Check-In. When I tried to explain this, he became rude, disrespectful, and downright offensive. He told me, “You too poor,” and said he didn’t want “drug addicted people” staying at his motel. This was completely uncalled for and beyond unprofessional. No customer deserves to be spoken to like that — especially when the booking terms were being followed correctly. This motel is an absolute disgrace — dirty, noisy, and run by someone

Overall it was good for the most part. We were there for one night, and all we did was go back there to sleep. The only thing that bothered me was there was no staff in the lobby when I went to check in. I was in a hurry, and I had to chase down the hotel clerk. That and the key cards for the room were somewhat glitchy. We had to keep scanning them to open the door to our room. Outside of that, not a bad place for the short time we were there

Appeared that some people lived there… Noisy sewer cover in parking lot that was loud and audible in room every time someone drove over it. Also, could hear every car that drove past on the road! Then at 10am in the morning, a man POUNDED on my door! I was just out of the shower, so I went to the door wrapped in a towel and tried to yell through the crack of the door. He did not hear me, and kept pounding on the door! Through the people I couldn’t really tell who it was except that it was a man. About 10 minutes later, a woman knocked on the door. Afraid, I did not open the door, because checkout was not until 11 AM. At 10:45, I was leaving the room, and the man and woman were just several feet from my door when I left, and they appeared to be a housekeeper, and possibly a manager of the hotel, and ask if I was leaving, and I said yes. They were very nice. But I was very scared when they were pounding on my door. The hotel did not provide do not disturb signs. But I feel that no one should’ve been pounding on my door before 11 AM checkout time! I was traveling alone, a female, in a strange area, and it made me afraid.

I was skeptical at first with all the negative reviews but honestly this place was great for what we needed if for. Went to a concert at Soaring Eagle, room was clean, staff was friendly at check in. Place is a little older with some signs of wear and tear but overall it was great for the night.

Very run down, the room was clearly previously smoked in, burn holes in the sheets and the mattress was badly stained. Didn’t see any bugs but definitely didn’t feel clean. Very close to soaring eagle waterpark, had good amenities around it but needs to be updated and cleaned better.
