The location and layout of the house was perfect for our needs. All the beds were comfortable. One tip, the small bedroom off the living room with the trundle bed should really be used by only one adult or two kids. With both beds out it gets crowded. The kitchen accessories could use a bit of an improvement, and I let the property manager know. Perfect access to the local shuttle system so a car wasn't needed. All things considered we would go back there again.

We had a great stay at Victory Place. The house was well-equipped and very comfortable - the two seating areas and kitchen were perfect for people to have plenty of room to spread out and relax. The location can't be beat!! Would absolutely visit again.

Great for Palisades Ski Trips

We stayed here with another family for a weekend ski trip and it was the perfect base camp. Our kids loved the foosball and pool table, while the kitchen was spacious and well stocked for the adults to cook and chat around the dining table. We'd definitely stay here again, maybe with 2 other families next time as there was plenty of space.

Great Winter Vacation Spot

The house was very clean upon arrival and the description of the house matched what was posted in the details. There were plenty of kitchen accessories which made cooking for the group very easy. The house was spacious and located about a 3 min drive from Palisades resort. Great spot to stay for a ski vacation. Would definitely rent again.

Lovely stay

My friends and I were in Tahoe for a wedding and booked this home. It was perfect for a group of 12 people, with plenty of beds and space to hang out, cook, hot tub, etc. The property management company was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. It was great to be so close to the biking/walking pathway near squaw and the hot tub was a great addition for hanging out later in the night when it got cooler. Would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable house with open layout, 2 living areas, wood stove, jacuzzi and more. Close to Palisades Tahoe so you don't have to leave super early to get a parking spot. Property managers are very responsive if you have any issues.

Only issues were no hot pads for cooking and the hot water heat was too low clean the dishes as well as no soap for the dishwasher. Otherwise was perfect

House was awesome! Very spacious, kitchen, well-stocked, and close to town and mountain. Management company was very responsive to questions. Loved the foam roller and hot tub for after ski therapy. Hopefully I got the rating correct, with 5 being the best (website didn't indicate rating system). We would definitely stay again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Fantastic house, location, and experience. The layout had everything we could have asked for including a hot tub and great game room. The house was well prepped and ready for our arrival; communication with the rental agency was seamless. Would highly recommend.

Olympic Valley Cabin

The cabin is a great place for a large family. Plenty of room. There was some deficiencies like salt and pepper, paper towels, dish washer detergent, bathroom soap and shampoo. The refrigerator was a little dirty. These are minor issues that are easily corrected. I would stay at this cabin again. Great location for activities in Olympic Valley or driving to other areas of Tahoe.

Roomy and close to the slopes

This property was great for our trip with extended family. Roomy with lots of bedrooms and space to spread out. We really enjoyed the hot tub after a day of skiing, and speaking of skiing, we loved how close we were to the slopes. Our only suggestion is that the TV in the family room is too small for the space. There is a comfy sectional that is nice for watching sports or movies but the smaller, older style TV was hard to see. A bigger Smart TV would be an awesome addition to the space.

Great layout, but not well maintained

We've rented homes throughout the Tahoe area for the last 15 years, many times in Olympic Valley. This home was the most expensive we've rented, yet the most poorly maintained. The layout of the home is great for large families and there was plenty of space for our group to spread out and have fun. However, there were many items in the home in need of repair. There are too many to list in one review, but here are a few examples: - All of the buttons in the hot tub had been worn away so it was not possible to see what each button/control did - There were only a couple of kitchen towels and no pot holders to remove hot things from the oven. Some other kitchen items that we were told were present in the home also were not (blender) - Light switches were missing for the dimmer switches so there were just little knobs that were hard to turn by hand - There was a pool table but one pocket was falling off quite badly - The microwave had a very large crack in the door - The stairway carpet was not fastened down on one of the stairs, exposing the carpet nails and cutting two of our kids when they went up the stairs While Tahoe Getaways did their best to address these when we flagged them, they seem to be a sign of lack of maintenance on the home. We had a great time but it was disappointing to pay as much as this home charges for a home in this state.

Your policies

Property was fine. It’s outrageous that in the midst of an epic storm, road closures and no ability to ski that we aren’t able to get a refund when I notified the manager that we were leaving three days early shouldn’t get stranded. Instead I continued to get notifications that I could pay more to get an extended stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a small family gathering in this home for Thanksgiving. It was a perfect location and the house was very nice. Because of all the windows, it got a little hot in the afternoon in several rooms. We found several unwashed dishes & utensils in the cupboards so I would recommend the next guests wash the dishes before they’re used. Otherwise, it was a great place to rent from r the holidays. The property managers were the best part of the experience! Very helpful!

Spacious, Convenient room for improvement

The house was spacious, convenient and the layout is better than expected from the pictures. The price was fair for the dated condition with some minor issues. The supplies the management company claimed were there were in part (e.g. no paper towels). All the batteries in the TV remotes were dead. Grill handle was broken, grates were clean but pan was not and flamed up burning food. With that said management staff was friendly and available in advance of check in. If the price were right we would give it a second chance. For point of reference, we are worldwide users of VRBO and appreciate honest reviews.

Dirty & disappointing

Definitely not worth the high rate we paid for this house. Unacceptably dirty and there were many broken and disappointingly run-down parts of the house and furnishings. Upon arrival and not wanting to wait for TG to clean the next day, we spent the first hours of our vacation going to purchase cleaning supplies (this house had only dish soap, dishwasher soap and laundry soap. There was not even a broom.) and then coming back to clean. Front deck: dirty & stained chairs (one with an old half empty Starbucks cup), dirty table & windows, vines growing well onto the deck & thru a chair. Dust and cobwebs on internal surfaces & sticky spills on bar chairs. No window screens on master doors/windows so we could not cool down at night. Walls dirty. Debris in garbage disposal and bathroom sink (really gross). I could go on. I should have paid attention to the recurring complaints in previous reviews. Oh, and they still have not furnished the kitchen with hot pads. How hard is it to fix that? Indicative.
