Would give zero stars if possible. We booked this hotel 3 months out and when I checked in they told me the room I booked was no longer available. I find this hard to believe as I was 6 hours early for my check in so obviously they overbooked. To make it up to me they said they would upgrade my room however the room they gave me was well below my expectations and without the view I paid for.
The room smelt and was in need a facelift at the least. One elevator kept breaking down and the other 2 are not far behind. They felt unsafe.
Breakfast was terrible and we struggled to find any clean cutlery. The food looked unsafe to eat and we didn’t trust it wouldn’t make us sick however staff were friendly and apologetic.
Charged US$27+tax (AUS$43) for to 2 small ice creams in a cup for the kids in the lobby. Well overpriced.
After check out I looked at my account to find 2 pending charges on it. One for the room that I can understand but the second was for about US$1,500 (AUS$2,230) for what I was told by the manager over the phone later that day was for incidentals however I never charged anything to my room. This matter is still being investigated as it’s hard to get a hold of anyone over the phone with any authority to make a decision. So currently still waiting for reimbursement of this charge as of writing this review.
Lastly I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone and believe the Hilton brand shouldn’t be associated with this hotel.
