Could be easily great...but still good
Overall this was a very good stay. Had to give marks down for comfort as the pillows were so worn we had to buy our own (eeewww), and for some reason there was no TP in the house??? Those two things aside, good communication, great little pool in backyard. Fun house to visit.
When we arrived at the site the home was clean. We noticed the screen door was broken (completely). And when we checked the pool it was filthy. The billiards table in the game room was broken. The kitchen was 90% stocked, but was always missing something to cook a meal or make coffee correctly. I reported the broken items and the pool condition to the service department, which they responded they would deal with the following day (We only were there for 3 nights). The service department was unpleasant to talk with, not understanding or indifferent to my situation, and not very willing to address my issues promptly. They did get the pool fixed, but dealt with nothing else. No discount or accommodation was offered. This is not what I would call 5 star resort. 5 star is usually all about prompt and exceptional service. The details are where the management company fell completely short. Sorry, but I would not book here again, for this reason.
This house exceeded my expectations it was beautiful I had an Awesome Time. I will definitely recommend them to friends and Family ! I can't wait to come back and get one of the bigger houses.
If I were you, I wouldn’t book this hotel. They will bait you with pictures and the size of the house but once you get there, the house will either be under construction or tell you that they are all booked, which means that they will switch. They are doing bait and switch and that’s illegal. I’m reporting them to the BBB and my State Atterney’s Office. Expedia is allowing them to do this.
At first I was very angry becuase the address on Expedia is not the address of the house we were staying at, we called the number on reservation and the staff kept telling me I needed to pay the cleaning fee (which I was told to pay on site) in order to get the adress and code for the place I was staying in. I was furious because i was in the street with no where to go, feeling uncertain and hesitant to pay any additional money. We talk to someone else and explain the concern but nothing, so we pay the cleaning fee and waited for the adress but nothinng come. After on hour of going back and forth the staff email me the adress but not the code to open the door. My husband called and a guy answer and he finally open the door of the house. To make a lonf story short holding the exact address to where yu are staying in for a cleaning fee is completely ludicrous to say the least.
The Sonoma Resort was overall a very nice place. The Staff were very good, the condition and cleanliness of the place were awesome and the room comfort were great.
The place is great, it is a bit far to the theme parks, but that isn’t really a big issue. The house, the pool, the playroom and all the space makes it an ideal place for a large family or two families that share the same house.
The not so good parts are that the place has technical problems, we got there and the door code did not work. We had to phone the emergency line and had to wait for someone that spoke English to come and help us (the main language seems to be Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese), we also had issues getting into the gym as this was another code we didn’t get and also we had didn’t get the gate code when walking in and out of the resort (we got a car voucher, that you showed the guard, but that wasn’t valid as a pedestrian). But in the end we had a very good vacation at this place :-)
Bij binnenkomst leeg de villa smal en klein. Dat was niet het geval, 4 ruime slaapkamers met alles erop en eraan. Matras was een beetje hard, maar verder OK. Keuken is van alle apparatuur voorzien. Overall een prima verblijfplaats in een gated community.
