Wonderful Beachfront Property

We spent a wonderful week at this beautiful spot right on the sand. This is basically 2 separate units, one on the first floor and one on the second floor (which includes the kitchen). While it was a little inconvenient to go outside to walk up to the second floor at first, by the end of the week we appreciated the separation it provided (for anyone that had a conference call or work to attend to). Check-in and check-out was a breeze. All the doors had a key code that provided entry without worrying about a physical key. The units were nice and clean with all the amenities provided (towels, cookware, utensils). We were surprised by all the things that were provided in the garage (wetsuits, surfboards, bodyboards, bikes [adults and kids], beach chairs, cooler). I wish we would've known the extent of things provided because it could've saved us time/space from packing our own things. Highlight of the trip was riding around in the Surrey bike. There is space on the drive way for 4 small vehicles. We thought that having 2 washers and dryers was unnecessary but it turned out to be another thoughtful convenience. The location was ideal. While there are public restrooms by the beach, it was nice to know that we could go back and forth easily if needed. There is an outdoor shower where you can rinse off before going in the house. The balcony was a great place to hang out and watch the sunset from every night. There are no shortage of restaurants and markets to choose from that are all within a 3 mile drive. I went golfing for 2 days and there are a few nice courses within 15 minutes. This spot is an hour drive outside of LA but there was not the beach crowds you would see in LA/OC. The beach break out front was really nice. It was gentle enough for the kids to play without getting roughed up and there was enough of a break if you wanted to ride some waves. We can't wait to come back.

Family Vacation

We really enjoyed our vacation at this home. The downstairs being separated by an outdoor staircase was inconvenient for us but was clearly communicating before we booked. They were also priced well. We would definitely come back again and just might. This is our second stay in Oxnard and we love this location. The home is a little small for 10 people which we had but we got along just fine. A little low on towels and a few maintenance issues but we managed just fine.
