Room was immaculate and exactly what was advertised. Property is incredible in every way. We already put money down for our next stay. Resort isn’t cheap but has everything you could want available. It’s a very very steep path to the nearby beach, but it’s well worth it.

Great pools and clean property overall, however the Nene geese leave a lot of poop on grass and pools areas. Clean up is done by staff daily, however one day near building 3 the pool deck was filled with poop and not cleaned for quite some time even with a call to the front desk. Restaurant is decent, but during our late February early march stay, there was no breakfast served at the sit down restaurant. Studio was great with a full kitchen and we had an ocean view room. Wonderful views with our am coffee on the terrace. Walking areas were wonderful as well, for those who love to walk.

We were surprised to learn that we ended up at a time share resort. The listing had the word “aparthotel” in small print which is the code for understanding that this isn’t a standard hotel arrangement. Our suite was OK but pretty blah. A second disappointment was that we were put in an accessible suite which meant that the bathroom was unpleasant. And while there is a good restaurant on the property it doesn’t serve breakfast so you need to buy food at their little market or the local grocery store which was recovering from a problem with their refrigeration system. The resort location is close to several great beaches and Hanelei is a prime area to explore. And once we adjusted to the timeshare mode our stay was pleasant.
