One room had a sofa held together with duct tape. Water was brown coming out of faucet. Mold on ceiling of showers in all three rooms.

Mostly ok, but there was that one thing...

My stay was mostly ok. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is older and it does show, but it is maintained pretty well. The thing with this hotel is that something always goes wrong in a way that ruins the experience. Last time, the front desk person was very abrasive and unwilling to help. This time, the water the room was turned off at around 8:30 am and was still off like 10 minutes later when I left. I had no idea that would happen. I mean, why would you expect something like that? The housekeeping staff that I asked about it was just like, yeah the water was turned off, like it is a routine thing. I happened to be up early and mostly on my way out, but on an average day, there is every chance I would have been in the shower at that time. Instead I had just used the bathroom and couldn't wash my hands, which was maybe even worse. And really wanted to brush my teeth after breakfast but that wasn't an option. So if you stay here, definitely ask about the water situation when you check in!

Convenient to the medical sevices

Nice hotel right across from the historic section of the Mayo Clinic The window looking into the hall is odd and lets the bright lights of the hall light in even with blackout curtains. Very comfortable and quiet room
